SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded by Paul Newman, is a growing global community of independently managed and financed camps and programs serving children with serious illnesses and their families. The name reflects both the “serious” components of impact and outcomes and the “fun” experience of camp. SeriousFun creates opportunities for children with serious illnesses and their families to reach beyond illness and discover joy, confidence and a new world of possibilities, always free of charge. No question, SeriousFun definitely makes the world a better place for its participants!
All you have to do is donate.
I’ll do the rest. I’ll start at 4:45 am in the dark in Seattle and finish at dinner time in Portland. While 10,000 people begin the ride, 9,000 do it as a two day event, and I along with approximately 1,000 others accomplish it in one day. I’ll burn approximately 13,000 calories, drink about 340 ounces of hammer perpetuem sports drink, eat gu and light snacks all day. I’ll also down a few iced lattes along the way. When you see the work these organizations do in service to children, it is all worth it. Please give generously.
Thank you so much for your help.
