  • Welcome to the registration form for the 2018 KEEN National Conference! The conference is talking place in Dallas, Texas from Jan. 3, 2018 at 6 p.m. and will end on Jan. 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. See the conference website for the full agenda. 

    It will take about five minutes to complete the registration process. Credit card payment is also processed at the end of this secure form. The fee for the conference is $1,350 and includes your hotel stay, meals during the conference, attendance to nightly receptions, and complete access to keynotes and workshops.

  • TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

    It is your responsibility to arrange and cover your own travel to the conference. The Kern Family Foundation will provide a complimentary shuttle service to and from Dallas Love Field (DAL) and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). You will receive a link for this closer to the event. 

    (Sponsored attendees will receive a link to arrange flights through The Kern Family Foundation's travel agent.)

  • LODGING

    The conference and rooming block is at the Hilton Anatole Dallas. Upon registration, your hotel reservation will be booked for you. The conference fee covers your rooming cost. If you want to stay additional nights, contact Kathy Kolander to extend your reservation. She will arrange for you to pay for the extra nights if the hotel has availablity.  Additionally, if your circumstances prohibit you from staying for the entire conference, contact Kathy so that the appropriate number of hotel nights and meals are reserved.  

    For each person registered, The Kern Family Foundation staff will make a reservation for a standard room. The reservation will be for two nights total – check-in Wednesday, Jan. 3 and check-out Friday, Jan. 5.

    Regular hotel rules apply for lodging and you will need to provide a photo ID and credit card for incidentals when you arrive. 

  • GUESTS

    Guests are welcome to stay with you in Dallas, but meals, receptions, and sessions are for registered attendees only so we can keep the conference focused on entrepreneurially minded learning. Please keep the conference events your priority while in Dallas.

    By agreeing to these Registration Terms, you agree that you have read and understand Kern's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, both of which are incorporated into these Registration Terms.

    CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation deadline:  Dec. 18, 2017. To manage costs, it's important that you cancel your conference participation if your plans change. If you have registered and you find yourself unable to attend all or part of the conference, you MUST contact Kathy Kolander. If you cancel after that date, even for emergencies, The Kern Family Foundation ("Kern") may invoice you and your institution for reimbursement of costs and fees associated with your late cancellation.

    PAYMENT INFORMATION: Fees for event registrations processed through this web site must be made by credit or debit card. Information about Kern's collection and use of payment-related information is set forth in our Privacy Policy. If the credit or debit card information that you submit is incorrect or invalid, your payment will not be processed. Kern has no responsibility or liability if your credit or debit card is declined by your financial institution. Payments are processed by Kern's third-party payment processor and software supplier, Stripe, Inc. Refunds, if available, are solely the responsibility of Kern and are at Kern’s sole discretion.

    EVENT REGISTRATION: Events, including event registration fees, are subject to change at Kern's sole discretion without notice to you. If you elect for Kern to make your travel arrangements (where that option is applicable and available), you will be provided with the opportunity to indicate your preferred airline and other travel-related personal preferences.

    AUTHORIZATION TO PHOTOGRAPH; WAIVER; RELEASE: You warrant that you have the legal right to provide to Kern any image that you upload in connection with your event registration. You authorize Kern to use and share any image you upload as set forth in Kern's Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that the event will be photographed and recorded. You authorize Kern to record and photograph your likeness, image, and voice in any medium (“Recordings”) and to use the Recordings for promotional purposes. You also authorize Kern to use, modify, publish, exhibit, display, broadcast, distribute, and create derivative works of the Recordings. Kern has the right but not the obligation to make use of the rights granted in this paragraph. You will not receive any compensation in connection with Kern’s use of any uploaded image or the Recordings. You hereby waive and release Kern from all claims that you may have against Kern in connection with any uploaded image or the Recordings, including without limitation claims relating to infringement, libel, slander, invasion of privacy, and rights of publicity.

    NO WARRANTY: The event for which you are registering is provided “as is” and without any warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kern expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind with respect to the event, including without limitation those regarding quality, accuracy, and fitness for any use or purpose.

    NO LIABILITY: To the extent permitted by law, in no event will Kern, its affiliates, or its or their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives, consultants, agents, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss or damage, or any other loss or damage of any kind, arising out of or in connection with the event for which you are registering, whether the claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, warranty, or otherwise, and even if Kern has express knowledge of the possibility of the loss or damage. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these exclusions and limitations may not apply to you.

    Registrants will be charged for a $1,350 conference fee which covers lodging (two nights), two evening receptions, two days of breakfast and lunch, and other meeting costs.
