Charter Australia English Placement Test
  • Charter Australia English Placement Test

  • Welcome to the Charter Australia English placement test. We would like to see your English level, so we can choose the best class for you.

What's in the test? You will do a reading, writing, listening, speaking and numeracy test. Try to find a quiet place to do the tests without any interruptions. It will take about 45 minutes.

What device should I use? Please do the test on a computer or laptop. You can use a mobile phone or iPad, but it might be more difficult to write.

Can I use support during the test? No. Don't ask anyone for help. Don't use internet searches. Don't use translation tools. Don't use AI. Also, don't look at the test ahead of time. We want to see your REAL English level. If a question is too difficult, you can leave it blank.

Will I do an interview? Maybe. Charter Australia might invite you to do a short video interview. This is to ensure your real English level matches the test. We will make an appointment with you.

Is my information safe? Yes. Any personal information you give in this test is private and will not be shared with anyone outside the college.

If you have any problems with the test, please email us at language@charter.edu.au.
