- Acknowledgement respecting Rental Application and Credit Checks
- I hereby certify that the information provided in this Rental Application is true and accurate in all material respects and I further acknowledge that any false statement or misrepresentation may lead to charges for fraud or other remedies available at law. I acknowledge having deposited with the landlord in certified funds the amount set out in this Rental Application as the Last Month’s Rent Deposit and understand and agree that the Landlord’s acceptance of the deposit does not constitute a tenancy agreement. In the event that this Rental Application is not accepted by the Landlord by reason that any of the above information proves not to be true, or is incomplete or misleading, I agree that the Last Month’s Rent Deposit may be returned less the sum of $150.00 for the Landlord’s expenses and time incurred.
- Consents respecting Credit Checks and the Obtaining and Disclosure of Personal Information
- I consent to the Landlord and its authorized agents obtaining any information about me as the Landlord in its sole discretion may deem necessary, at any time in connection with (I) the Rented Premises hereby applied for, (ii) the Tenancy Agreement I will execute if my Application is accepted, or matters arising therefrom, or any renewal or extension thereof or for (iii) the purpose of tracing my whereabouts if at any time during or after the expiration of the Tenancy Agreement or any renewal or extension of it, I am or become indebted to the Landlord for Rent or any other amount owing pursuant to my obligations arising from the Tenancy Agreement.
- I further consent to the Landlord and its authorized agents (I) obtaining information about my previous tenancies, (ii) contacting agencies that provide landlord information and making enquiries about me, (iii) contacting my references and (iv) taking any other reasonable steps necessary to assess my Rental Application or for any renewal or extension of my tenancy. Such consent extends to (but is not limited to) the obtaining of a consumer/credit report about me.
- I further consent to the disclosure by the Landlord and its authorized agents of any information concerning me to any credit reporting agency, or to any person or company with whom I have, may have, or will in the future have a financial relationship, or to any third party for the purpose of contributing to a database of tenant information made available to landlords and their agents.
