As a person traveling to an international destination, I understand that my actions reflect not only onto myself, but my country as a whole. I am traveling to learn and to participate fully with my community as a responsible and sustainable traveler, and as such I will behave in a responsible manner. By signing the agreement below, I (my parents/guardians), understand and agree to the following:
I will be respectful of my hosts and host organization.
I will abide by the laws of the country I am visiting. I will not ingest/consume alcoholic beverages or any illegal substance of any kind while at AHI. (On Safari, alcohol can be purchased at participant’s expense for participants over 21).
I will not bring or use drugs.
I will abide by the dress code set by AHI and described fully in the handbook.
I will be responsible for my own personal belongings and not expect others to watch over my things.
I will set enough time for me to rest every night so that I may be fully energized, ready, awake and alert for the following days activities.
I will not use language or speak in a manner that is rude, offensive or aggressive.
I will not be violent or participate in any violent act/activity. I will be flexible and understand that I am not in my home, and not everything will go as I want.
I understand that I am traveling with a group, and will act in a manner that will reflect the group.
I understand I am traveling in a group and will adhere to the itinerary and scheduled departure and meeting times.
I will not act in a way that will put myself or others in danger. This includes not traveling with weapons.
I will not leave the group without notifying or asking for consent from the team leader.
I understand that by signing this statement I agree that I can act in the above fashion. If I break this agreement, I will first receive 2 warnings, and if the behavior continues I will be asked to leave the group/country at the expense of myself/or my parent/guardian. Drug use will result in immediate expulsion without a warning. If I am a minor, I will have to travel home alone.
