A “Community Garden” is any land gardened by a group of people. Some gardens are managed collectively, while others feature individual plots for garden members.
A “Market Garden” operates as a business. Produce is grown on-site and sold at affordable prices to residents, local restaurants, and/or food retail stores. A market garden might also provide job training opportunities in gardening, agriculture, or culinary arts, for example, or host a range of classes for people interested in learning new skills.
The purpose of this survey is to gather input from local residents about the possibility of starting and supporting either a community garden or market garden in South St. Petersburg. We appreciate your opinion about this project.
Thanks for participating!
