NAFSA Region XII Team Open Positions Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the Region XII Team! Serving on the Team is an excellent way to broaden your skills as an international educator, serve your community and make professional relationships that last a lifetime. Region XII currently has several open positions for the 2027 team.

Most positions require a two year commitment (1/1/27-12/31/28).

This application is open until the positions are filled.

• Chair Elect (Chair Stream is a 3-year commitment)
• Communications Coordinator
• Conference Apprentice
• Education & Training Coordinator
• Knowledge Community Representative: Education Abroad
• Knowledge Community Representative: International Student & Scholar Services
• Advocacy Apprentice
• Postdoc Representative
• Community College Representative

Each Team position requires a few hours per month of time and the ability to attend at least three out of four team meetings a year. Team members should also plan to attend the Quarterly Region Updates and both the annual and regional conference. The meeting schedule is roughly as follows:

-Virtual Region Team Meetings (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)
-Virtual Quarterly Region Updates (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall)
-Region XII Annual Conference (personal or institutional expense, Oct/Nov)
-National Annual Conference (personal or institutional expense, last week May)
