    Since you are touring, we need to ask that you please change your start until later in the afternoon that day (1pm or later), or to a different day completely.

    This is very important. Tourists (non-racers) must not interfere with the start of the racer waves which will be departing from Banff YWCA in strict blocks of 20 riders each, every 10 minutes on Friday AM. Please do not try to drop into one of the race waves. Parks Canada will be observing execution and it is important (for the future of the non-organized event) for it to go well and appear organized."

    When you've decided on a new start day or time, please choose it above in this form. Submissions for the same day and same morning as the Grand Depart will be ignored. Thanks.

  • STOP! This form is not for signing up for self-supported racing, or for the Tour Divide event. This is only for the citizen touring tracker, which is a separate map from the ranked and official Tour Divide race map.

    To sign up for Tour Divide tracking please submit your LOI (letter of intent) to tourdivide@gmail.com and you'll be sent instructions.

    For AZTR and CTR -- tracking sign up is available and linked on the event websites, 1 month prior to the Grand Depart. This is not the form for either of those races.

  • Trackleaders PING app:

    Trackleaders PING is a free app that sends tracking points when cell coverage is available. No SOS/911 function - dial 911 instead. Battery drain is minimal using the app, but phone must stay out of airplane mode.

    App instructions:

    Search for "Trackleaders Ping" on the App Store / Google Play. Run the App. Enter your phone# (same phone# you just register with here). Start tracking. You should see yourself pop up on the map within a minute or two (once you are added to your desired map, which is a manual step). Let us know if you don't (info@trackleaders.com).

    Fire up the app and turn tracking on at the start of your trip, and track when you want to.

    Important: phone number entered here must match the phone number you enter in the 'Ping' phone app.

    For SPOT devices the key piece of information needed is called an XML Feed ID. It looks like this:

    The XML feed must be public and shoulbe be set to publish all TRACK messages.

    For Zoleo devices we need your iMEI number, found on the bottom of the device, example:

    IMEI: 999999999999999

    Enter the IMEI for your device. Then go to this link to run Zoleo's wizard, authorizing data to be sent to Trackleaders (can be revoked at any time).

    After hitting the submit button, you will receive a confirmation email from "Trackleaders registration."  Please drop us a note at info@trackleaders.com to say "hi" and let us know there is a new submission to get online.  You won't be automatically added to the tracker.

  • Please note that once we get you online and tracking (usually within a few days) your most recent tracking point will be shown on our public trackers for testing purposes.  If you do not want your pre-trip data shown, please wait until closer to your start date to sign up. Once your start date rolls around, your history will be cleared. Thanks!
