ODTUG Mission Statement
To establish members as leaders in their organizations through education, timely access to the latest information, communication, and networking within the community, and provide a united voice to influence the strategic direction of Oracle Corporation and other vendors.
About the Program
In an effort to enhance the leadership skills of its members, ODTUG is pleased to announce its fifth ODTUG Leadership Program. This eight-month program will cover topics such as leadership styles, effective communication, mentoring, team building, goal setting, and accountability. The submitted applications will be evaluated, and a small group will be chosen for the class based on the application as well as follow-up interviews. There is no application fee for the Leadership Program – it costs nothing to apply. However, if you are accepted into the program, you must then become a full, dues-paying ODTUG member.
All meetings of the Leadership Committee will be virtual. The onboarding session of the Leadership Program will be in early November. This session is mandatory. After the onboarding session, we will meet monthly, November - June. Day of the week and time TBD. To graduate from the program, you can miss no more than two sessions. By submitting this application, you are indicating that you will devote the time and resources necessary to complete the program. Even though emergencies do arise, any participant missing more than two of the remaining seven sessions, for whatever reason, may be asked to withdraw from the program.
Who Should Apply
Persons who wish to advance into leadership positions along their career track, persons who have been recently promoted and wish to improve their effectiveness in their current position, persons looking to switch careers or transition to technical management opportunities – all of these should consider the ODTUG Leadership program.
Who Should Not Apply
Seasoned technical managers and veteran team leaders need not apply – you already have the skills we aim to impart in our Leadership Program participants.
