    Description

With the goal of enriching the educational experience of our student/parent community, SCCPTA, in collaboration with the Seminole Coalition Prevention, will be offering mini‐grants to local units. The Seminole Prevention Coalition mini‐grant program is designed to assist PTA/PTSAs in providing educational and supportive programs within their schools. The Coalition’s goal of the mini‐grant program is to enable local PTA/PTSAs to enhance their school community in ways they see fit while providing opportunities for the coalition to increase both awareness and education about effective strategies to prevent underage drinking and drug abuse, promote general health and safety.

The Seminole Prevention Coalition, a certified 501(c)(3) charitable non‐profit located in Sanford, seeks to build a strong, safe and healthy community through the prevention of underage drinking, substance abuse and tobacco use in Seminole County. As a not‐for‐profit organization, the Seminole Prevention Coalition offers prevention workshops for parents, teachers or students based on the needs of each group. With the goal of educating and informing each audience, the coalition provides resources, materials, and speakers at no cost to you and your organization!
