1. A Seminole County PTA/ PTSA may apply for only one mini‐grant during the academic year, resulting in a maximum of one mini-grant per PTA/PTSA to be awarded. APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE THE DATE OF THE EVENT.
2. A mini‐grant will not exceed the amount of $300. The mini-grant funds will be disbursed as a reimbursement upon receipt of documentation (receipts) that supports the total dollar amount requested. If the payment method of reimbursing a local unit is a hardship, please contact the SCCPTA Grants Chair (contact listed below) to discuss other payment options.
3. Funds may be used to enhance or establish programs as each PTA/ PTSA feels are most needed within their specific school.
4. Although funds do not have to directly support prevention awareness, units accepting mini‐grant funding must agree to enhance prevention awareness at their school by contacting the Seminole Prevention Coalition to invite them to participate at a local event. Events must be attended by at least 25 individuals from your school community. SCCPTA asks local units to send pictures from the funded event to share on our Facebook page and website.
Qualifying events include (but are not limited to):
• Educational workshop for parents, teachers or students
• Health Fair
• Student Assembly
• School PTA meeting
5. Local units applying for this mini-grant must be in compliance with SCCPTA and Florida PTA. If you have any questions about your local unit's compliance status, contact your SCCPTA Area Chair.
6. Monies must be used for a program during the school year the mini-grant is awarded.
