ONE recognizes the contributions of leaders of from all sizes and types of nonprofit organizations including experienced veterans, emerging leaders, highly visible, vocal champions of the nonprofit community, and quiet, behind the scenes leaders who make everyone else look good. Judges will take into consideration each Nominee’s achievements and impact in comparison to the size and scope of their organization. One award is expected to be bestowed in each of the following three categories for a total of three award recipients: • Leader of Distinction Award - For Chief Professional Officers (CPOs*) with ten or more consecutive years of experience as chief professional officer of a Maricopa County nonprofit. This CPO has exhibited qualities of an outstanding leader for a sustained period of time. • Organizational Accomplishment or Innovation Award - For Chief Professional Officers (CPOs*) whose outstanding leadership has resulted in major innovation and/or accomplishment for their nonprofit organization during a twelve month period between October, 2016 and December, 2017. • Community Partnership Award – For Chief Professional Officers (CPOs*) who have played a lead role in developing partnerships or collaborations that continue to make a significant community impact. ONE reserves the right to make the best final category selection having taken the recommendation of the Nominator into consideration. Eligibility Requirements: Any CPO (*Executive Director, CEO or an equivalent) of a nonprofit organization with a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) IRS designation operating in the state of Arizona and whose organization is in good financial standing, order and condition may be nominated. Nominee must have held his/her current chief professional officer position for at least three years.
