Policy of Recognition on External Qualifications
As a member of the international snowsports community UK Snowsports welcomes coaches, leaders and instructors holding qualifications issued by non UK Snowsports Member Awarding Bodies. Holders of such qualifications can apply to UK Snowsports for recognition of equivalency of their awards. If successful an applicant will be awarded the appropriate level of UK Snowsports qualification and licence and will receive all usual member benefits.
Filling in this form is a part of the process.

You will also need to become a member of Snowsport England. After completing this form the Snowsport England Office will contact you to arrange membership.

To get licenced you will also need:
- Appropriate First Aid (dependent on level of qualifiaction)
- Safeguarding Training
- Enhanced DBS Check

On completion of the form the applicant will be awarded the appropriate, equivalent UK Snowsport qualification. On awarding of the appropriate qualification applicants will be required to pay their Snowsport England membership fees, to attend refreshers and courses in the same manner as any other qualified member. It is not possible to produce an exhaustive list indicating likely equivalency for each and every coaching, leading and instructing award offered throughout the skiing world. Each award is considered on its own merits.

Application for Recognition of External Qualifications. Declaration
I wish to apply for recognition of my existing snowsports qualifications. In doing so I agree that if I am successful I will comply with the relevant codes of practice and guidance as required by UK Snowsports. I will represent myself and UK Snowsports in a positive manner.

I am not aware of any disciplinary procedure or criminal actions pending which might effect adversely UKSS’ consideration of this application if they were made known.
