Award Criteria and Eligibility
Each Nominee for the Rising Star Research Award, given annually by the Eastern Nursing Research Society, must be a member of ENRS who:
Has earned their doctorate within the last 7 years.
Has initiated and conducted post-doctoral health and/or nursing research.
Has shown promise in establishing a program of health and/or nursing research.
Has a publishing record emanating from the program of research.
Is not currently an ENRS Board member or ENRS Awards Committee member.
These documents must be submitted with the application:
Statements from the nominator or applicant (two-page limit; single-spaced; 0.5 margins) and two additional references (one-page limit each) that make the case for the nominee’s major contribution(s), current research involvement, and why these are important. (Total of three (3) statements to be submitted.)
Nominee’s up-to-date curriculum vitae that clearly, accurately, and completely documents research contributions and current research activities
PDF copies of three (3) representative refereed research publications
Email notifications will go out in February 2018. Winners will be formally recognized on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Closing Awards Ceremony Brunch of the 30th Annual Scientific Sessions at the Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, NJ.
