Young Breeds is a non-profit youth-led community based organization promoting children and youth development in Africa.
Since 2013, Young Breeds has been promoting children and youth development in Nigeria with a mission to raise young people as new breeds through non-formal education and incubation by grooming them with the requisite values and life skills for responsible adulthood and holistic life development.

Available ROLES:
1) YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Prerequisite:
Shall be passionate in working with teenagers and young adults for their holistic development- spiritually, physically, emotionally and academically with some track record of same.
Description:
a) Shall be responsible for conceiving, developing and packaging ideas for the Youth Development programs of Young Breeds (LIFESEED, YDCenter, YDConference, YDCongress, YDBootcamp )
b) Shall work with the program coordinator for effective administration and execution of same
c) Shall work with the blog and content director in generating articles, reports, concept notes, working papers and research findings for media publishing on youth development
d) Shall render assistance as may be needed per time to the Children Development Director and other team executives on common grounds
e) Shall occasionally liaise with the advisory council for ideas and support with oversight on all youth development programs
f) Shall be available physically at events under coordination in collaboration with the Programs coordinator
2) CHILDREN DEVELOPMENT
Prerequisite:
Shall be passionate in working with children for their holistic development- spirituality, physically, emotionally, and cognitively with some track record of same.
Description:
a) Shall be responsible for conceiving, developing and packaging ideas for the Children Development programs of Young Breeds (AGIP, DBC and any other)
b) Shall work with the program coordinator for effective administration and execution of same
c) Shall work with the blog and content director in generating articles, reports, concept notes, working papers and research findings for media publishing on children development
d) Shall render assistance as may be needed per time to the Youth Development Director and other team executives on common grounds
e) Shall occasionally liaise with the advisory council for ideas and support with oversight on all children development programs
f) Shall be available physically at events under coordination in collaboration with the Programs coordinator
3) SOCIAL MEDIA
Prerequisite:
Shall be skilled in the management of social media accounts with specifics to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
Description:
a) Shall be responsible for maintaining the social media accounts for Young Breeds on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as other media outlets such as YouTube channel
b) Shall be responsible for transcribing live events (such as conferences, seminars or workshops) into tweets and posts
c) Shall work to maintain the media visibility of Young breeds constantly (with contents and images from Brands and graphics Director and Blog and Content Director
4) BRAND AND GRAPHICS
Prerequisite:
Shall be skilled professionally in graphic design in creation of flyers, and other graphic outcomes electronically and in print
Description:
a) Shall volunteer his/her skills in graphic design in the promotion of the Young Breeds brand
b) Shall liaise with the Youth/Children Development Director in production of graphic designs for various programs as needed per time
c) Shall intermittently design brand elements and identities for Young Breeds either for print or electronic purposes
5) MEDIA AND TECHNICAL
Prerequisite:
Shall be skilled professionally in photo and videography, editing, and general audio/multimedia
Description:
a) Shall work with/recruit other volunteers in photo and video coverages of events as may be required and the editing of same
b) Shall work with the program coordinator to ensure smooth setup and running of events requiring the use of audio/multimedia
c) Shall ensure technical ease at events
6) PUBLIC RELATIONS
Prerequisite:
Shall be skilled in human relationship, communication and human psychology with visible evidence of same
Description:
a) Shall volunteer his/her public relation skills in scouting for in kind and financial partners
b) Shall work with the Youth/Children Development Directors in attendance of official meeting/press briefings
c) Shall be the communication channel of correspondence between partners and donors for Young Breeds via monthly newsletter and email list
d) Shall serve as the secretary of the organization in communicating to other team volunteers and keeping of minutes of meetings virtually or physically
7) PROGRAM COORDINATION
Prerequisite:
Shall demonstrate leadership quality of a team spirit and project executioner
Description:
a) Shall work closely with the Youth/Children Development Directors in physically executing projects
b) Shall coordinate the enrollment of project based volunteers and interned volunteers
c) Shall ensure smooth planning and execution of all programs (children and youth)
d) Shall coordinate other training and development programs (for teachers, Volunteers or affiliates such as TDP and PTF as may be needed)
e) Shall be available physically at events under coordination such as at the Youth Development Center- weekly life skills session (Wednesdays in Agege, Lagos and Thursdays in Ota, Ogun state)
8) BLOG AND CONTENT CREATION
Prerequisite:
Shall be skilled in the generation of content in writing of various kinds and display of acceptable editorial service
Description:
a) Shall manage the blog menu of Young Breeds website
b) Shall produce innovative and life transforming content personally and collectively from other team Volunteers
c) Shall supply content to the Social Media Director and Brands and Graphics for use as may be requested per time
9) FINANCIAL RECORDS/AUDITS
Prerequisite:
Shall be skilled in financial accounting and the management, investment and disbursement of funds
Description:
a) Shall keep the book of financial record for Young Breeds
b) Shall be in charge of welfare at events and programs of Young Breeds
c) Shall come up with innovative and sustainable ways for financial buoyancy
10) WELFARE
Prerequisite:
Shall be passionate towards culinary and cookery for the welfare of people at events with a managerial oversight for prudency
Description:
a) Shall coordinate the welfare of guest/participants at events as may be needed
b) Shall come up with ideas and strategies for the welfare aspect at any events by YoungBreeds as may be needed
c) Shall liaise with the Programs coordinator for other areas of welfare (E.g. health and otherwise) as may be needed at any event
11) MOBILE & WEB DEVELOPMENT
Prerequisite:
Shall be skilled professionally in Web Development and in Content Management.
Description:
a) Shall volunteer his/her skills in web design development.
b) Shall liaise with the Social Media Director on internet presence.
c) Shall work on web contents such as registration forms for Young Breeds events/programs
d) Shall coordinate online live streaming for events
e) Shall be responsible for uploading Young Breeds media and other contents to the web
BASIC CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:
1. TEAM membership is based on freewill volunteering. It presents amazing platform for growth and personal development.
2. Intermittent virtual assessments and physical annual general meeting will be held during the period of service
3. We have a spring board location of influence in Lagos and Ogun state, Nigeria. (As such, most events may be held at these venues, but it is a spring board to other parts of the country)
