Team Descriptions:
Activities Team: This team organizes a monthly outing to draw women together with like interests. Some past outings have included: a walking chocolate tour in Portland, touring the tulip fields in Woodburn, a softball night, hiking or whatever creative ideas can be planned. This team also plans the Women’s Ministry Fall kick-off and another "Night Out" sometime in the spring.
Events Team: If you love to craft, create and coordinate then this is the team for you! The Events Team oversees the two main Women’s Ministry events of the year. Being a part of this team allows you to build lasting relationships in a small group setting as you meet weekly leading up to these events.
Meals Team: Are you gifted in cooking and have a passion for serving others? The Meals Team is a ministry that offers help to families for a short term when the main caretaker is unable to provide the necessity of making dinner. Usually, due to a new birth, hospital stay or incapacitating health issues.
Newsletter: Do you enjoy writing, researching or editing? Then you are invited to become a part of the contributors to the Sister to Sister newsletter. This newsletter is published monthly with articles featuring a Woman of the Month, Date Night Ideas, a Mystery Woman, Humor section, Chef in Chiffon, Birthdays and more.
Hospitality Team: The Hospitality Team is split into two sections. The first, Picnics/Potlucks, organizes set-up, food coordination and clean-up of the church picnics in the summer, with one picnic a month in June, July and August. The second, Funeral/Church Receptions, serves families when they use the church for a reception following a funeral by providing set-up, serving of food provided, beverage preparation, and clean-up. This team also organizes the church pot-luck that takes place during the annual Family Meeting.
