• Scholarship Overview

    This scholarship is available to Community College of Aurora Concurrent Enrollment students who wish to continue their academic studies with CCA. This award is up to $2500 and is applicable towards Fall and Spring semesters; may be applied toward tuition, fees, and/or books; and is a one-time, non-renewable, non-transferable scholarship. Amounts are limited based on availability and may be adjusted when factoring other Financial Assistance awarded. The ACE Scholarship is NOT available to ASCENT students.

    Eligibility Requirements

    Candidates for this award will have:

    • Graduated from a Colorado high school and are attending college for the first time
    • Graduated high school with at least 6 college credits
    • An overall minimum GPA of 2.0 in CCA CE courses

     If selected for this scholarship, candidates must:

    • Pass all classes with a C or better
    • Be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester at CCA
    • Complete AAA 101 course
    • Apply to Transfer Success and meet with an advisor once per semester

    Candidates are encouraged to complete the FAFSA, however are not required to do so.

    Complete the following online application.  Please note that all fields must be completed in order to submit the application. Incomplete aplications will result in automatic denial.

     You will be asked to submit the following: 

    • Complete scholarship application
    • Complete CCA admissions application
    • Attach most recent high school transcripts showing expected graduation from a Colorado high school with a CCA Concurrent Enrollment GPA of 2.0 or higher and a minimum of 6 college credits
    • Attach a 500 – 750 word personal essay describing how coming to CCA will help you achieve your academic and professional goals, and any challenges you have had to overcome in pursuit of those goals.

    Note: CCA official means of communication is via CCA email.  Please be to check your CCA email after applying for important updates.

  • Part II:  College Information

    Transcript: Upload most recent copy of unofficial or official high school transcript. Transcript must show cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, and proof of at least 6 college CE credits earned.

    Please answer the following question in essay format with your full name on the top of each page. Essay must be in Word or PDF format only or you may also copy and paste your essay. Your essay must be between 500-700 words and aswer the question listed below:

     

    Describe how coming to CCA will help you achieve your academic and professional goals, and any challenges you have had to overcome in pursuit of those goals.

  • I understand that before I can be considered for this scholarship or any other type of financial aid, I must be officially admitted to the Community College of Aurora in a financial aid eligible degree or certificate program. Applicants who obtain a previously earned Associate’s degree will not be eligible for this scholarship.
