ONE Director of the Year Awards
Recommended Nomination Form The Recommendation Nomination serves as just that, a recommendation that a worthy candidate's organization (who may not know about the Director of the Year Award opportunity) consider submitting a fully informed nomination.
In setting the process in motion via this Recommendation Nomination form, please note that:
- This submission doesn't take the place of a Full Nomination, however, it is an excellent starting point if you know a great nonprofit chief professional officer, but you yourself aren't prepared with all the details necessary to submit a full nomination.
- Submission of this Recommendation Nomination will trigger an alert from ONE to the potential Nominee's organization conveying your suggestion that a full nomination be completed by those with full knowledge of the Nominee's pertinent details.
- Your action in taking this simple step will, without a doubt, be a welcome source of recognition in itself, though hopefully a full nomination and a chance to receive an award will result. Your assistance may also be sought by the Nominee's organization to help to round out the full nomination so your identity and contact information will be shared.
Specifics of the Award Process:ONE recognizes the contributions of leaders of all sizes and types of nonprofits including experienced veterans, emerging leaders, highly visible, vocal champions of the nonprofit community, and quiet, behind the scenes leaders who make everyone else look good. Judges will take into consideration each Nominee’s achievements in comparison to the size and scope of their organization.
Nomination Instructions: At-Large Nominations must be submitted using this online form, and be received between October 23, 2017 and December 9, 2017 to allow adequate time for notification and completion of a Full Nomination. Full nominations are then due by January 9, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
Eligibility Requirements: Any CPO (*Executive Director, CEO or an equivalent) of a nonprofit organization with a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) IRS designation operating in the state of Arizona and whose organization is in good financial standing, order and condition may be nominated. Nominee must have held his/her current chief professional officer position for at least three years.
