The Democratic Party is broken, and the corporate wing of the party is responsible. By aligning with Wall Street over working people, the Democratic Party has allowed Republicans to take over most state legislatures, most governorships, Congress, and the presidency. The solution is not unity with republican-lite, corporate-backed Democrats. The solution is to challenge them and replace as many of them as possible with people who will fight for voters, not donors. It’s time to rebuild the Democratic Party from scratch to be a party that fights for a clear progressive vision.

We are creating a pre-formed caucus of candidates to run as a slate for congress in 2018 to save our democracy and show that progressive policy is politically feasible if we have bold leaders who aren’t afraid to fight for it and win.

Justice Democrats are selfless leaders from all walks of life, areas of our economy and society, representing every community. We want a Congress that looks like America and shares the experiences of everyday Americans. There isn’t one metric or policy checkbox we are using to endorse candidates, but instead using this form to start a conversation. We will base endorsements off of responses to the questions we ask in this form and the series of conversations over phone and video chat that could follow pending review.
