I acknowledge that the Orleans Parish School Board and YAYA require extracurricular participants to have adequate accident liability insurance. I attest that we will have adequate accident insurance coverage in effect and therefore agree to release and discharge the Orleans Parish School Board and YAYA and their employees, agents and successors from any liability whatsoever arising indirectly or directly from participation in the YAYA program. Special Needs Disclosure: YAYA instructors and staff are not professionals nor have expertise in special education. The staff may not be able to meet the needs of every child with special learning needs or behavioral issues. If it is known or determined that a student has special needs in any area of their development or learning capacity, the faculty and staff will meet with families to determine if the child can be accommodated within the community arts programming. YAYA will make reasonable accommodations for the inclusion of any young artist who is able to benefit from the program so long as their presence and the accommodations made for them do not significantly hinder or lessen the benefits other young artists’ experiences. Young artists who require a shadow, ABA therapist, social worker, tutor, or any other additional assistance during their time at YAYA, must make prior arrangements with the Senior Director of Programs for site visits. YAYA will make accommodations within reason during program hours.
