CONTRACT AND AGREEMENT FOR FACE PAINTING SERVICES
Deposit: The deposit is non-refundable should the client cancel. However, if the event is rescheduled within 3 weeks, the deposit may be credited to another event IF the artist is available on that date.
Cancellation: As stated above, deposit is non-refundable if the event is cancelled. If cancellation is made on day of event, the remaining balance is still owed. (Artist turns down many events once she secures your event) Send check or money order to above address. If event is rescheduled, every attempt will be made by artist to be available.
Returned checks: There will be a $30 fee for returned checks plus the amount of check.
Overtime: Artist will be happy to stay past scheduled time if she is available. Please carefully consider how much time to schedule as there are no guarantees of availability past scheduled time.
Parking: Please have parking space available in front of event location to unload equipment or make other arrangements for easy access. Client is responsible for any parking fees.
Extreme working conditions: Artist has the right to stop painting and leave event without refunding any money if there are extreme working conditions and the client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child or adult; illegal activities; dangerous conditions, extreme heat, cold, or rain during outdoor event and client fails to move to an indoor location.
Liability: Artist is not liable for allergic reactions to paints. Artist only uses professional, Non-toxic, FDA approved face paints and cosmetic grade glitter. However, children with severe skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have a patch test at the beginning of the party. For sanitary reasons, Artist will not paint anyone who is or appears to be sick or suffering from: cold sores; conjunctivitis; any infectious skin condition; eczema or open wounds. Artist will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property due to activity of children after being painted. The client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by the host, guests or pets and/or any damage to artist’s equipment or supplies caused by the host, guests or pets.
Limitations on artwork: Designs may be painted on the face or hand. Artist will not paint any design or wording that is obscene, offensive or defies good taste. Artist will not paint anything evil related, pertaining to ANY form of witchcraft or any design she is not comfortable painting.
Children supervision: Artist will not supervise children. Their behavior and safety is the client’s and/or parents’ responsibility. Please designate a responsible person to supervise children prior to start time. If requested, an assistant may accompany the artist for supervision, line management, and activity game. This allows host and guests to sit back and enjoy the event. An extra fee of $50 for an assistant will be added to balance due at event date (request quote for events outside of travel range). All assistants have devoted many hours working with children and would add great joy to your event. Please make request ASAP to guarantee availability.
