Teddy is a 3 year old bulldog who needs a new home because his owners have seperated. Who would you rehome him too? He needs a home with no children under 8, no cats but can go with another dog
X Mr Smith spends his days trawling the internet looking for dogs that are either being given away or are being sold cheaply. His intention is to pretend he is part of a loving family but in reality he is looking for dogs he can use as fight training bait for his prize fighting pit bulls to practice on
XMr Jones has cats, unfortunately the last time Teddy saw a cat he almost killed it.
XMrs West said that her 3 year old daughter was brought up around dogs and knows how to be gentle - she's very dog savvy
Unfortunately Teddy can't stand the busyness of children and is NOT child savvy.
Allowing this dog to go into this home could result in a child getting hurt - that would make the front page of the tabloids and the entire breed could be branded the latest "devil" dog. At that point everyone with a bulldog and a child will call to have their dog rehomed.
XTeddy is fine with other dogs so is there any reason why this home couldn't be considered. Well - the other dog doesn't really like dogs, this owner is getting another dog because they thought the photo of Teddy was cute. The dogs will fight - resulting in either one or both dogs requiring treatment and another rehome for Teddy
XMr Drummond matches everything Teddy is looking for, but he's a 5 hour drive. Deciding he was the right home despite the journey Teddy has been allowed to travel there - sadly he became stressed on the M1, Mr Drummond was unable to stop and help him - Teddy died just outside of Newport Pagnell.
Someone from Bulldog Rescue had to drive out to meet Mr Drummond to bring Teddy's body back for cremation at BDRs expense.
XMiss Walton-Higham is quite happy to tell us she could easily go out and buy a puppy, but wants to "do her bit" for charity and rehome one. Teddy is a little bit older than she'd like but he's in her area and he looks just like the one the Beckhams have. She's not a bad person and heart is definately in the right place but once the next breed becomes fashionable she will want rid of Teddy and there's no guarantee she will keep to her Bulldog Rescue contract and bring him back to us.
XMr Johnson is only 20 minutes from the dog's current home. Sadly they use the same park and the previous owners would find it far too upsetting to see their dog with another family every day. 20 mintues is a little too close for this particular dog.
XMiss Tallyham - she meets all of this dog's requirements and has made the shortlist, but on closer inspection her work hours are 10 hours a day 6 days a week. Teddy would get bored and start to destroy the house. This placement would fail and Teddy would find himself looking for another home quite quickly
XMr Boris is such a lovely old man, but 3 is a little young for him to commit to as he would need to stay in charge of his faculties until he is at least 96 years old, assuming Teddy makes it to 10 years old. An older dog would be much better for this kind old man.
YES ... Mr and Mrs Harper are perfect for Teddy. Sady - because they didn't hear back the same day they applied for him they have now gone out and bought a puppy. You have to go back to the start.
