    Botanic Bar and Grove Bar are available for semi-exclusive bookings throughout the week, offering a safe and vibrant space for the public, QUT Guild Clubs, and QUT students & staff to connect and socialise. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a large event, we welcome groups of all sizes.

  • Opening Hours During Semester:
    Monday- Wednesday 10am-10pm, Thursday-Friday 10am-12am

    Opening Hours Outside of Semester:
    Monday- Wednesday 12pm-6pm, Thursday-Friday 12pm-8pm
     
    AV Equipment
    We offer free AV equipment for hire at no charge on Wednesdays only 
    • All bookings that require use of AV equipment must be pre-arranged and are subject to availability & manager approval.
    • On site tech support is not provided, users must handle setup and operation themselves. All equipment must be returned to its original condition; failure to do so may result in future use restrictions.

    Please note: AV equipment is unavailable at Botanic Bar every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday during semester.

    Private Functions
    Cost $3500
    Cost $2500 (Affiliated clubs only)
    Capacity: 600pax
    Bookings for 100pax or over will incur a small additional fee for security. This can be discussed upon submitting the booking request form. 

    We offer exclusive use of Botanic Bar on weekends only for a maximum of 5 hours (including set up & pack down).
    Bookings that occur during the weekend must be submitted no less than 2 weeks prior to the booking date to allow adequate time for payment and operational planning.

    This includes:

    • Private use of the Venue, Balcony & Pool Tables – Enjoy the space exclusively for you and your guests.
    • Access to AV Equipment – Use our sound system, projector, and screen for presentations, trivia or entertainment.
    • Dedicated Staffing & Security – Professional bar staff and security to ensure a seamless event.
    • Music Your Way – Play your own playlist or bring in a DJ for the perfect atmosphere.
     
    Payment must be received no later than one week before your booking date to secure your reservation. Failure to make payment by the due date will result in cancellation.

    After Hours Bookings
    Planning something after 6pm? A hire fee of $50 per hour is applicable if the booking starts or continues after hours. This amount is non-refundable and cannot be redeemed. Bookings that occur after hours must be submitted no less than 2 weeks prior to the booking date to allow adequate time for payment and operational planning. 
     
    Weekend Private Functions
    Cost $1500
    Cost $1000 (Affiliated clubs only)
    Capacity: 100pax
     
    We offer exclusive use of Grove Bar for a maximum of 5 hours on weekends (including set up & pack down)
    Bookings that occur during the weekend must be submitted no less than 2 weeks prior to the booking date to allow adequate time for payment and operational planning.

    This includes:

  • Bar Tabs for QUT Affiliated Clubs

    Bar tabs are available for your group event. This must be paid at least seven days prior to the day of your book. Failure to pay on time will result in cancellation. Upon submission of this form you will recieve an invoice for the bar tab amount. Wristbands or tokens must be supplied by the booking holder. Please note that the bar tab amount is non refundable. 

  • Invoice Details

    Your invoice will be sent to the email provided in the booking form within 5 business days after submitting the booking form. Cannot find your invoice? Please check your junk/spam folder inbox.

    Payment is required at least seven days prior to the date of the booking. Please send a payment confirmation, including the date and amount, to bars@qutguild.com
    Repeated failure to send invoice pyament could result in future booking cancelation.

    Reminder: If your booking at Grove Bar starts or extends beyond trading hours (Monday–Friday 11am-6pm), a hire fee of $50 per hour will apply. This must be paid at least seven days prior to the date of your booking. Failure to pay by the due date will result in cancellation. This is non-refundable and can not be redeemed.
