• 2018 State Grange Distinguished Youth Program

    State Granges may qualify for the award by completing enough of the following requirements to earn 100 points
  • Organize a State Youth Committee/ Youth Team (If your Grange has a youth committee organized prior to July 1, 2017, please indicate when it was organized below) (5 pts.)

  • Host a state committee organizational meeting or at least 2 committee meetings if your committee was previously organized (5 pts.)

  • Have a state youth event, such as camp, lock-in, or retreat (10 pts.)

  • Host state youth speech, Sign-A-Song contest and Grange Jeopardy Contests. (20 pts.)

  • Participate in Apathy Not Allowed program as a s State Grange (ex. of programming options: hist a youth-oriented Capitol Day, sponsor a youth to attend the National Grange Fly-In, work with youth to present a legislative program at the State level, or some equivalent legislative-oriented youth activity or program) Describe activity in space bellow. (20 pts)

  • Host a State Youth Ambassador contest or Young Couple/ Young Adult contest (10 pts.)

  • Submit an article or column to your State Grange newsletter (5 pts.)

  • Submit article to National Grange Youth Director for consideration in youth department blog about your youth program or an event. (5 pts.)

  • Organize a youth community service project. (15 pts.)

  • Organize a youth-oriented membership drive or recruitment activity/ program or have at least five youth from your state participate in a G.O.A.L. seminar (20 pts.)

  • Work with your Lecturer or other state committee to have a new youth-oriented program or competition in 2017 or 2018 (20 pts.)

  • Donate at least $200 from your State Grange to the National Grange Foundation Youth Fund. (this donation will also count for you State's National Grange Distinguished Grange Application) (15 pts.)
