  • Hello and welcome to KNVP Studios! We'll need some information in order to get things started on your podcast. You will be entering information such as your podcast name, your public contact information, your podcast website (if you have one), podcast categories, and podcast description on Step #3 below. Libsyn.com is the service we will be using to host your podcast. You will need to register with them, and subscribe to their services separately.  Instructions are included in Step #2 below. Here's an explaination of the 3 things we need to accomplish today, which we will guide you through on this form:

    Step #1: Register with KNVP Studios:

    We will collect your email address and other important items for KNVP Studio's internal records.

    Step #2: Register with Libsyn.com:

    In order for KNVP Studios to manage your podcast, you will first need to register with Libsyn.com at their website if you have not already done so. Libsyn is a paid subscription-based service, therefore you will need to supply them with separate payment.  You are responsible for creating and paying for your podcast's Libsyn service as it is not included in any service or package available from KNVP Studios.  Steps will be provided on how to sign up in a moment.

    Step #3: Collect your podcast information:

    Setting up your podcast can be tricky and confusing, so we here at KNVP Studios will take over this duty for you.  This is a one-time step where you will provide us with all of the important information we will need to successfully do this for you.  You will be entering information such as your podcast name, your public contact information, your podcast website (if you have one), podcast categories, and podcast description.

  • In order for us to exhange audio files, etc we will need to setup an online, cloud-based storage solution so that we can each access the files when needed.  The 2 largest services available are DropBox and Google Drive.  If you have one of these services, there is an email address associated with it.  If you provide that email address I can send you an invitation to start the sharing process.

  • KNVP Studios does not provide podcast hosting services.  However, we recommend and integrate our services exclusively with Libsyn.com as the world's premiere podcast host.  In order for KNVP Studios to manage your podcast, you will first need to register with them at their website if you have not already done so.  KNVP Studios and Libsyn.com are directly affiliated.

    The following information is required in order to set up your podcast. Your answers will be used to populate the Libsyn.com service you signed up for on the previous page.

  • Apple Podcasts Categories

    Below you will find 2 separate categories in which to best define the subject matter of your podcast.  Please complete both the Primary and Secondary fields.  The first category (Primary) should be the most specific and appropriate to your podcast as this is used by Apple Podcasts as your main category. You may not use the same category for both the primary and secondary.  The second  category does NOT need to be subcategories of your primary - and they can be completely different from the primary.  The idea here is to not only drill-down to your specific niche but for your podcast to be available in more sections of the Apple Podcasts store, therefore generating better search results.

    Important: The top-level category, the main category that does not have a subcategory can be selected as it is much more broad and covers the entire subject.  You do NOT have to choose a subcategory. 

    For example, you can choose "Health & Fitness" by itself as the main category, and you do not have to pick "Health & Fitness < Mental Health" as a subcategory for example.

  • Is your show suitable for kids and family (Clean) or is it adult oriented in nature (Explicit). This will be displayed on your Apple Podcasts page, so pick carefully. You can still have the occasional "explicit" episode and that episode will be marked "explicit". This is for your show, overall.

  • Artwork

    Podcasting services require podcast artwork and they have some very strict requirements. KNVP Studios does not provide custom artwork as part of this package. However, for clients without the means or the skills to create artwork, simple and basic artwork guidance and creation can be provided via www.canva.com However if you have access to a graphic artist, the artwork will need to be created and then provided to us. For your Graphic Artist, here are the specifications needed for properly formatted artwork:

    Minimum of 1400x1400 pixels (i.e. must be square)
    Maximum of 3000x3000 pixels (i.e. must be square)
    RGB colorspace
    .jpg or .png file format
    under 500kb in file size
    Solid Background (no transparency)

    "Cover art must be in the JPEG or PNG file formats and in the RGB color space with a minimum size of 1400 x 1400 pixels and a maximum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels. Note that these requirements are different from the standard RSS image tag specification. Potential subscribers will see your cover art in varying sizes depending on the device they’re using. Make sure your design is effective at both its original size and at thumbnail size. We recommend including a title, brand, or source name as part of your cover art. For examples of cover art, see the Top Podcasts section in the Podcasts app or the iTunes Store."

    Intro and Outro

    Having an audio Intro and Outro makes the podcast more enticing to the audience and let's them know, as a sort of introduction (Intro), as to what your podcast is all about. At the end of your podcast, it signals that the show is over (Outro). If you require any assistance with your Intro and Outro, please let me know. See below for more details:

    Included with your package is:

    - Royalty-free music (see below) for your Intro and Outro (1 song for each)
    - All editing as necessary to complete the Intro and Outro

    If you choose to not use your own voice, but want another professional voice over artist, for an extra fee (this is not included in your package, and is payable directly to them), you can visit our affiliate, Music Radio Creative who can provide an outstanding variety of different voice talent for you for a reasonable price. Once you contract them to do your voice over, you can send me the voice file and your music selection and I will do the final edit and mixing to complete your intro and outro as part of your package.

    Once you've found the songs you like, please jot down the name (and file name if available please) of the file, and send it to me via email.


    Submitting Your Podcast To Apple Podcasts

    Once we have everything ready to go, it will be time to submit your RSS feed to Apple Podcasts for approval. At the appropriate time, I will provide very detailed instructions via a separate email.
