  • Hello, Future Short Term Missionary, 

    Thank you for taking the time to fill out the STM Application! This is your first step in traveling with Park Valley on a Missions trip in 2019, to share the love and hope of Jesus to the world! 

    We are so excited for this journey to begin! 

    Please fill out this application which will give us all of the information we need to help pair you with the right trip and trip leader and for us to find out more information about you! 

    Your short term mission experience is not just for the week but it is journey you will begin months before you leave. Your team will meet anywhere between 4-6 times before your trip. This is to build team unity and prepare for your upcoming ministry. 

    Please note: you have to be 18 years or older to travel alone on a STM trip with Park Valley and 15 years old when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. 

    In addition to your trainings, there will be a Half Day Training on April 13th from 9-1PM, at Park Valley Church.  

    What's next? 

    1. After you fill out this application, you will be getting another email from us to collect all of your travel information (passport details) . 
    2. After your application is approved, your information will be sent to your team leader. You can expect to hear from them by the end of March.

  • Passport Information

    Once your application is approved, you will need to provide your full name, passport number, and passport expiration date. If you do not have a current US passport and have not started the process to get one, OR if your current passport will expire less than 6 months after your proposed trip dates, go to the following link to begin the process:

  • Student Application

    You said you were under the age of 18, so we require some additional information from you. Remember, you have to be 18 years or older to travel alone on a STM trip with Park Valley and 15 years old when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Trip Information 

    Here we will collect information regarding your trip preference, prior experience, and expectations. For longer responses, we suggest writing them in a program like Microsoft Word where you can save your progress and refer back to it later.

  • Spiritual Information 

    Here we will collect your information regarding your relationship with Park Valley Church as well as your faith in Jesus Christ. Both of these things are important to us and will help us better serve you and the team. For longer responses, we suggest writing them in a program like Microsoft Word where you can save your progress and refer back to it later. 



  • Commitment to Funding

    A missions trip is a significant time commitment. In addition to the trip itself, the team meets for training, equipping, encouraging, and team-building several times throughout the months leading up to your departure date, and at least one time after you return.

    You can expect to meet 4-6 times in the weeks or months leading up to your trip. After the trip, each team will conduct a debriefing meeting. Relationship-building is a challenging and rewarding part of the team experience, and relationships take time. Please note that failure to comply respectfully with the Team Leader/Point Person or Missions Coordinator could result in termination.

     






  • Other Concerns 

    If you have any questions, concerns, reservations or medical conditions that my inhibit your participation, we want to be aware of them in order to find the best place to find the best place for you to serve. 

  • Once we receive your STM Application, we will contact you via email to confirm we received it. We may schedule a meeting to further get to know you. We are excited to continue to get to know you as we take steps toward impacting God's global kingdom through short term missions. Once your application is approved, you will receive a link to fill out important travel information as well as several required documents. We're thankful you've chosen to join a short term missions team this year and look forward to seeing how God uses you to make passionate, maturing followers of Jesus from here to the nations!
