The Bon Appetit internal control process is designed to provide reasonable assurance regarding the accomplishment of the following objectives:
- Efficiency and effectiveness of financial and operational policy, procedure and control
- Reliability of financial reporting
- Compliance with laws and regulations
- Safeguarding of company/client assets
The concept of reasonable assurance implies that cost effective procedures are in place to restrict any deviation to a tolerable level, and that material errors and improper or illegal acts will be prevented or detected within a timely period by employees in the normal course of performing their assigned duties.
The objective of internal audit is to assist management, through independent and objective review, to measure the degree or efficiency and effectiveness of their control objectives as stated above, and to make recommendtaions to improve and strengthen them.
