APPLY NOW to be a volunteer at Aging2.0 OPTIMIZE, the world stage for innovation and aging, taking place November 14-15, 2018 in San Francisco!
We are seeking a select group of volunteers to help the Aging2.0 staff as we bring together executives, thought leaders, investors and entrepreneurs to showcase cutting-edge solutions at the intersection of innovation and aging.
If you have a can-do attitude, relish in helping people, don’t mind tackling jobs both small and large and do it all with a smile on your face, we invite you to apply to volunteer at OPTIMIZE!
Before you submit your information for consideration, please recognize that volunteering is a commitment to help Aging2.0. Our small staff could not put on a conference of this size, scope and quality without incredible and reliable volunteers to help us ensure things run smoothly. If you are selected as a volunteer:
You will be required to pay the volunteer ticket rate of $99 (general registration fees for non-volunteers are $799-$999).
You should expect a minimum of 6 of your 12 total volunteer hours to take place
the conference (November 14-15). Conference set up day is November 13.
We have a competitive selection process for volunteers. Typically we review applications on the 1st and 15th of the month and will notify applicants of your status. If confirmed, you will be sent additional information about scheduling, registration and training. You will need to keep the following requirements in mind if you are selected to volunteer.
Commit to help Aging2.0 staff put on a spectacular event and ensure you fulfill all assigned shift hours and roles.
Participate in a 1-hour volunteer briefing/training call before the conference and attend an on-site training meeting.
In addition to the training call and orientation meeting, volunteers are required to contribute a minimum of 12 hours total volunteer time.
Note: We REALLY appreciate our volunteers, so we strive to maximize opportunities for volunteers to hear speakers during their shifts. Please recognize, however, that we depend on volunteers to ensure that everything runs smoothly, so your priority during your shifts is to ensure that your tasks are fulfilled.
Focus on your volunteer role during your shift - networking should wait until your shift is over.
Flexibility is key - we may need to make changes to your assigned role or shift times last minute.
If any sessions are over capacity, volunteers are expected to offer their seats to other attendees, even when off-duty. We will have TV monitors available for overflow viewing.
Volunteering at Aging2.0 OPTIMIZE is a fantastic experience. You'll get to know great people, contribute to creating a phenomenal event, and when you are not volunteering, you'll be able to enjoy conference sessions and networking events. Meals are included during the event.
Please fill out the application below if you think you've got what it takes to be a great Aging2.0 volunteer! Please be aware that we typically receive more applications than we have shifts to fill so we, unfortunately, cannot accept all applicants.
If you definitely want to attend the conference, we encourage you to purchase a general admission ticket HERE. If you are later accepted as a volunteer, we will refund the difference in the ticket price. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
Thanks for your willingness to pitch in and help us make OPTIMIZE a huge success!
