Sew Basic Class Information & Terms of Service
Class Cancellations:
In rare instances a class that a student/parent signed up for may be cancelled for the upcoming or current session. If this occurs that parent will have the option to switch to another class time or receive a refund.
Missed Classes and Make-Ups:
One make-up class will be offered each session if a student must miss a class (dependent upon availability). Additional make-up classes may be granted for extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis at the teacher's discretion. Make-ups must be completed during the current session. Parents are encouraged to notify the teacher in advance if their child will be absent for an upcoming class.
Cancellations and Refunds:
If enrollment must be cancelled for circumstances outside of participants control, they will be refunded a prorated amount for remaining weeks, subtracting $20 from the total amount to cover costs for materials and processing fees.
Sickness:
For the benefit of all other students, parents must keep sick children at home. The teacher reserves the right to send a student home if they are visibly sick.
Medical Emergencies:
In the case of an emergency, the teacher will call 911. The teacher does not have or provide medical staff, and cannot provide emergency or other medical treatment.
Classroom Etiquette:
For the enjoyment of all students, we ask that parents talk to their child about these rules and follow our terms of classroom etiquette:
1) Each student should be respectful of all classroom property and the property of other students.
2) Each student should be kind and courteous to the teacher and the other students.
3) Please arrive on time.
Safety Protocol:
Students will follow instructions given by the teacher for safe operation of classroom equipment.
Sibling & Guest Policy:
Siblings or friends are not allowed to attend class unless approved by the teacher.
Food & Drink:
To maintain cleanliness, food is prohibited in the classroom. Water in water bottles is OK in class.
Personal Belongings:
The teacher is not responsible for any personal belongings.
Weather:
In the event of inclement weather, parents will be contacted with pertinent information via Text or email.
Change of Information:
To protect the welfare and safety of all children students, parents must notify the teacher in writing of any change in address, telephone number, medical information, or emergency contact information.
Protection:
If any student /parent creates a situation, that in the sole discretion of the teacher, is unsafe or unprofessional environment, then the teacher has the unilateral right to revoke the enrollment of the offending party. Should this extreme situation happen then the offending student/parent will be issued a full refund for the unused portion of your enrollment fee minus $10.
Liability Waiver:
The enrolling student/parent understands that participating in SEW BASIC classes, even with proper supervision, may result in serious injury, illness, or even death. The enrolling student/parent hereby relinquishes the teacher of this class, all parties working with him/her, the makers and owners of all equipment, and all other class participants in these activities, of any liability whatsoever relating to their participation in these activities, and agrees to inform the teacher of any and all factors which may affect the student’s ability to participate in these activities, including but not limited to, disabilities, illnesses, or injuries. The enrolling family understands that the student participates in these activities at their own risk.
Policies & Terms Agreement:
By registering for SEW BASIC Classes, the enrolling student/parent agrees to follow all policies and procedures stated above. Non-compliance with SEW BASIC’s policies and procedures may result in termination of enrollment. SEW BASIC has the right to update policies at any time.
