BLI FLAP staff ensures the safety of all FLAP students during all times.

That many of the School Activities offered are sporting activities, require a certain degree of skill and physical fitness and that participating in such activities exposes me to certain risks of accident or injury
That by signing below I waive any and all claims that I have or may have in the future against the School its employees, homestay families, third-party service providers and representatives.
I hereby release the school, its employees, homestay families and other third-party service providers and representatives from any and all liability for any loss or damage that I may suffer.
I understand that there are times during the course of the program when students will be transported off-campus on field trips to local parks, museums, etc. and I give permission for my child to attend these field trips and to ride, where necessary, in passenger vans, automobiles, buses etc. that are operated by licensed, third-party, transportation companies.
Unless I have expressed in writing my choice to opt out, I acknowledge and accept that during the course of my study at BLI or during school activities, I may be photographed, video taped or audio taped and I hereby grant BLI unrestricted and non-expiring permission and all rights to use or license such media for any advertising or promotional purposes that BLI may deem appropriate, and I waive any right to any royalties related to the use of the same.
I agree and acknowledge that should I be refused entry at any border crossing, or should a school activity itinerary be necessarily altered or otherwise interrupted due to acts of a political or social nature, or due to a natural “Act of God”, neither the school nor its employees, homestay families, third-party service providers, nor representatives shall be held responsible for any additional costs or expenses which I may incur as a result of such occurrence.
BLI set the following rules to ensure that everyone in the program is safe and treated with respect. Please, be safe, be kind, and be clean.
Campers must be respectful to other campers, BLI staff, teachers and other individuals that they meet during the summer programPhones cannot be used during activities or class timeCampers must be on time to all classes, activities and tours. Missing class, activities and tours without written permission is not allowedFighting, bullying or any other type of violence will not be tolerated The use of bad language is not permittedSmoking or drinking alcohol is strictly not allowed. A camper who is caught with possession will be sent home right away and their program will be cancelled immediately. Please take care of all of BLI’s equipment and facilities. Damage to the school, the city or personal property will not be tolerated and will result in financial penalties to repair or replace the damaged goods. This rule also applies to homestay and residence facilities. Students must wear their badge at all timesCONSEQUENCES
Please note that any behaviour that is against the law ot puts students and staff at risk may be escalated to a higher phase. BLI reserves the right to limit or deny the participation or suspend a student from the program in these cases. In case of property damage, financial penalties will be applied.
Phase 1: Improvement Phase
In this phase, the student is reminded of the rules and the importance of following them. He or she has a chance to improve his or her behaviour.
Phase 2: Time-Out
In the time out phase, the student is asked to “sit-out” for a couple of minutes or in the more serious case, he or she will be denied participation during an activity.
Phase 3: Communication
If the camper continues to repeat the bad behaviour, it will be communicated with the camp director who will then communicate with the school director. In a more serious case, the parents, guardians or agents will be communicated to.
Phase 4: Suspension
Continuing to disrupt and break the rules will lead to a suspension from the program. There will be extra costs for changing returning flights and there will be no refunds for the suspension or withdrawal of the program.
