In order to be approved as a foster family, Weatherford Whiskers will conduct an in-home visit to meet you and any resident pets. Are you willing to welcome a foster representative to visit you in your home?*

For the safety and happiness of all pets (foster and residents) it is best to keep foster pets separate from resident pets. This is important for kittens who are not old enough for vaccines, cats with compromised immune systems, to prevent disease transmission, and if animals do not get along.

Supervised "social time" between foster and resident pets is acceptable if:

1. Resident pets are up-to-date on vaccines
2. Foster pets have completed a 14 day quarantine

The two week quarantine helps to protect the foster pet and your resident pets from possible unforseen illnesses and infections.
