Heart Math Tutoring matches volunteers to CMS elementary students in high poverty schools that are falling behind in math and includes our area schools at University Meadows and Nathaniel Alexander.
Volunteers can pick a 30 minute or 1 hour time slot to help support an elementary student who is falling behind. Heart Math provides easy-to-follow lessons and a staff person on site to make sure things run smoothly. During tutoring time, volunteers help students build foundational math skills (counting, more vs. less, addition) and academic confidence.
