Each ringer is expected to serve on at least 1 committee. There are several other responsibilities that are officer duties or appointed positions.
Most committees are expected to provide reports to Exec for review at meetings and inclusion in meeting minutes. Those with an * don't have to submit reports.
Please indicate your current committee assignment and your preferences for 2018 below. There's also a place for comments at the bottom.
COMMITEE DESCRIPTIONS
Equipment Loan*: Keeps record of equipment out on loan to TAR members; send reminders for return
Truck Logistics & Maintenance: Maintain detailed list of drivers (dates, locations, etc.), key location, weekly truck schedules. Tracks detailed maintenance of truck.
CD & DVD Sales: Provide sales report to treasurer following each concert; maintain inventory; set up and sell at concerts
Marketing: Develop marketing information for the website and provide information on that material to concert hosts; coordinate and layout newsletter; serve as social media contact; provide FOA event publicity
Social: Organize social events for ringers and families; provide snacks/treats at rehearsals; coordinate catering at events as requested by Exec
Maintenance & Property: Ensure that bells & other equipment are in good working order; obtain needed parts; identify needed repairs, investigate options, make recommendations, procure and install
Wardrobe: Keep track of wardrobe not current use, retrieve items from departing ringers, design & acquire new items; work with Maintenance for table cover upkeep
Historian*: Collect & preserve photographs, newspaper clippings, programs, etc.
Workshop Liaison: Serve as contact person regarding workshop content, number and type of classes offered, teaching schedule, etc.
Program Point Person*: Ensure programs are given to site person, make sure unused ones are retrieved.
SOS: Assign/coordinate publicity, tasks, manage tickets sales, site logistics, musician and tech contracts; budget
Grants: Grant writing: research; submitting; follow-up. Mostly just updating materials at this point.
Skills: Work with the Exec committee to organize internal workshops with the purpose of improving the ringing skills of the members.
Truck Driver*: Must be 25; pickup truck in Hillside, drive to rehearsal/concert /recording, arrive on time, return truck with at least 1/2 tank of gas; inform truck committee of any maintenance items
