The Uniform Scholarship is designed to assist currently registered girl members in Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons by providing supplemental resources beyond a family’s ability to pay. Scholarship allocations are subject to availability within the council’s current operating budget. The requirements and important information below assist in processing the requests.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

• Form must be completed in full and submitted by a parent/guardian requesting assistance for their girl
• Scholarship recipient must be a currently registered new or returning girl member of Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons (GSDH)

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Applications are kept confidential
• GSDH encourages girls and families to contribute to uniform and supply costs if possible 
• Uniform scholarships are limited to the items listed on the application
• Scholarships are not granted to an entire troop
• Scholarships will not be provided for items that have already been purchased
• Uniform Scholarships are limited to one request per program grade level. For example, 1 request for Daisy years of Kindergarten and 1st grades; 1 request for Brownie years of 2nd & 3rd grades, etc.

  • 1 Tunic/Sash/Vest
  • 1 Flag Patch
  • 1 GSUSA / Council ID Strip
  • 5-Digit Troop Numerals
  • 1 Insignia Tab
  • 1 Membership Pin
  • 1 World Trefoil Pin

If awarded, the caregiver will receive a voucher for the approved retail items.  Redeem voucher at retail store or call to make arrangements. All shipping fees are the responsibility of the caregiver.
