It uses American Indian-styled traditions and ceremonies to bestow recognition on Scouts selected by their peers as best exemplifying the ideals of Scouting. One-stop training class for conducting safe swimming, climbing, and hiking activities with your unit. This session will certify adults in Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat, Climb on Safely, and Trek Safely!
G17 CPR/First Aid (Additional $35 fee will apply, can be paid at event)
Conducted by the American Heart Association, this class will certify adult leaders in CPR and First Aid. Additional fee will apply for costs related to certification cards. Space will be limited.
G18 Backpacking Essentials
From the foothills of our Appalachian Mountains to the peaks of Philmont, come learn the do’s and don’ts of backpacking. See and feel different types of the essential equipment needed (and some luxury items) to make your units next backpacking adventure one to remember!
G19 Story Telling 101
From sitting around the campfire to your Pack’s Blue and Gold, come learn the essentials to telling a good story. Tips and tricks to orating a good tale to captivate your Scouts attention.
G20 The Secret to Ceremonies
Pulling off the perfect ceremony shouldn’t be difficult. This session will provide tips and tricks on how to make your next event memorable.
G21 Knife Safety Basics
Come learn proper handling, care, and use of the pocket knife, ax, and saw and learn to teach the requirements for Whittling Chip and Totin' Chip safely and successfully to your Scouts.
G22 Maps, Compasses, GPS, and Geocaching
Orienteering is an essential skill for every good scout. The ability to navigate with a variety of resources is an integral part of being a Scout. Come learn the basics and how to teach these skills to your Scouts.
G23 Camp Cooking (additional $5-10 fee will apply)
From dump cakes to pizza rolls, come learn how to utilize your outdoor kitchen. We will be discussing best practices and care for your cast iron. We will also be whipping up some tasty treats!

This new training is required for all adult leaders planning on running any shooting (BB’s, archery, and slingshot) events at any district or council event!
C7 Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)
This course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities.
Boy Scout Sessions
B1 Scoutmaster’s Minute, Scoutmaster Conference, and Board of Review
Discuss and explore those precious opportunities to guide and counsel your Scouts. This class will cover Scoutmaster Minutes and Scoutmaster Conferences. Discuss approaches to counseling and how to develop ideas for SM minutes. Additionally, you will learn how to prepare youth for their Board of Reviews and in conducting a Board of Review.
B2 Life to Eagle
Receive tips and ideas for counseling your Life Scout to finish the Eagle required merit badges. Plus, explore resources and ideas for the selection and planning of a truly meaningful and rewarding Eagle project. How to keep an Eagle Scout engaged in his troop!
B3 BS Re-TEN-tion: Building Membership in Your Unit
Come learn a number of tips and tricks to keep the boys interested and coming back for more!
B4 Becoming a Boy-led Troop
How to implement and improve the boy led Patrol Method. The ins and outs of getting the patrol method started and supporting the youth leaders!
B5 Den Chief Training ($10 – all day)
This special training is for youth who are possibly interested in becoming a Den Chief. These sessions will focus not only in how to work with Cub Scouts but also how to work with Cub Scout parents and leaders. Scoutmaster approval is required for all youth the take this course.
B6 Essential Knots
Do you know the best knot to use when setting up your tent or clothes line? From the bowline to taut line hitch and everything in between, this course will cover how to tie and teach knots.
B7 Scoutmaster/ASM Position-Specific Training
This training is designed for anyone wanting to learn more about the basics of how to run a Boy Scout Troop. This is a required training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters, but anyone can participate.
B8 Special Awards

V1 Venturing Basics
