• Ophelia Bell's ARC Team

  • The Ophelia Bell ARC team is made up of a carefully chosen group of power-reviewers. The purpose of the ARC reviews themselves is to provide a collection of honest quality reviews that potential readers can use to help them in their decision about whether or not to buy the book.

What qualities will a reviewer have?

    • Interest in Ophelia Bell books. If you have not yet read any, start with that! Here is a link to my catalog on Amazon.
    • The ability to review on multiple retailers, including at a minimum either Amazon or Apple Books and also Goodreads.
    • Willingness to use the Booksprout app to download ARCs and leave reviews. This facilitates easier tracking and follow-up for me. The exception will be readers who are willing to receive ARCs via Apple Books.
    • The ability to write a coherent, thoughtful review of two or more sentences that is more than just a book report. Tell other readers how the book made you feel and why you loved it, or what you didn't love about it. Don't tell other readers the plot of the book.
    • The genuine desire to help promote the author and books you love to read, as opposed to simply receiving a free book. Applicants who can show a history of social media activity involving sharing books and talking about books online will have a better chance of being accepted.
    • The ability to read and review a book within a set timeframe (usually two to three weeks).
    • Willingness to be a member of my regular mailing list. If you have previously unsubscribed, you will need to resubscribe by visiting this page: http://opheliabell.com/subscribe .  If you do not wish to receive other newsletters from me, that's fine - I can ensure you only receive ARC related messages, but this list will be the primary means of communication about ARC schedules and book launches.
    • The ability to follow instructions.

If you understand, please fill out the form below.

  • ARC Team Application

  • If you don't know what Booksprout is, please visit the Booksprout website to acquaint yourself with it. ARCs will be accessible via the website, not the app, and review follow-up also happens on the website.
  • If you can read books from the Apple Books store and are chosen to be on the ARC team, you will be sent a special promo code for the book, which will allow you to download an advance copy of the preorder from Apple Books. After you read it, you will be expected to leave a review on Applel Books.
