Background and Eligibility:
As outlined in the Employee Dispute Resolution Policy (Policy 6Hx28:3E-09) the Faculty Ombuds Representative serves as an advocate of the dispute resolution process and is trained to provide support, guidance, and feedback to employees who are having difficulty resolving conflicts.
Solicitation of interest, review, and selection of the Ombuds Representative will take place in the spring semester. The selected representative will begin their yearlong service during the summer semester.
Submission of this form signifies your interest in serving as an Ombuds Representative for the next year.
To fulfill the responsibilities of Faculty Ombuds Representative, the selected representative will receive a three (3) credit hour release per term (fall and spring terms) and if necessary, a stipend for training in the summer term. Before submitting this form, please ensure that you have spoken with your Dean/supervisor and obtained their prior approval to serve in this capacity.
