Grants will be awarded to candidates that meet the following criteria at the time of the grant award: You must be a descendant of Armisted and Rachel Mahan, or provide proof of relation by marriage or adoption. If you are uncertain that you are a descendent of Armisted and Rachel Mahan, send an e-mail, along with the names of your parents and grandparents to: info@mmscholarship.org. Someone will reply with the search results of the family tree
- Provide high school transcripts demonstrating a graduating GPA of 3.0 (B average) or greater.
- If enrolled in a postsecondary institution, candidate must provide official transcripts demonstrating a current GPA of 2.0 (C average) or greater.
- Candidate must be age 23 or younger.
- Candidate must not have received any prior grants from this foundation.
- Candidate must not be a member of the immediate family of any of the members of the scholarship committee or the foundation's officers.
