Volunteer Needs/Duties
Parking Monitor - Direct cars for parking and guide people to registration table after parking.
Corner Monitor - Direct (and cheer) on participants at a stationary location/corner along the 5K route, making sure the runners follow the course and there are no issues with barricades.
Set Up - Assist with tables, tents, signage, finish line, directional signs, trash receptacles, etc. 6am!
Clean Up - Take down tables, tents, signs, pick up directional signage, pick up trash, pack up everything.
Registration - Help check in participants, ensuring that the USATF Waiver/Release is completed, timing equipment properly assigned and received and participant bag/goodies given.
Raffle Sales - Sell raffle tickets for items, track winners.
Finish Line - As runners cool down guide them to water, chip return and be on alert for any signs of medical attention needed.
Timing/Chip Return - Collect chips from runners and ensure the recording of times, determine winners of each category.
Water Station - Pass out water either from stationary table near finish line or appointed location along the course.
Bag Assembly - Help assemble participant bags, fill water bottles with goodies, etc. This is pre-event work done sometime during the few days prior. Day, time & location to be determined.
