  • OBJECTIVE: To identify and develop effective Community Leaders.  Leadership Simi Valley is designed to meet this challenge by providing a vehicle to:

     ·  Educate class members on a broad range of community needs and concerns.

    ·   Encourage informed individuals to serve the community in leadership roles of their choice.

    ·   Create an atmosphere of cooperation for the resolution of future community challenges.

     This objective will be achieved by introducing participants to the workings of the community, where they will meet current leaders and have the opportunity for problem-solving discussions.

  • I. APPLICATION

    All applications will be treated with the strictest confidence.   • II. PARTICIPATION & COMMITMENT 

    A.  Qualifications – Applicants must: be at least 18 years old, live, or work in Simi Valley, and be recommended by a community leader of alumnus of the Leadership Simi Valley Program.

     B.  REQUIRED ATTENDANCE

    • All Day Retreat on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
    • Welcome Reception held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
    • Nine sessions are held once per month from 7:30 AM - 6:30 pm.  The 2026 dates are October 2, November 6, December 11, and the 2027 dates are January 8, February 5, March 5, April 2, May 7, and May 28, with graduation on May 28. You may miss up to 2 sessions. 
    • There will be minimal homework throughout the program. 
    • You will graduate upon completion of a minimum of 7 Sessions, 4 Required City Meetings, and a Police Ride-A-Long. Tuition must be paid in full to graduate. Also, all class members are required to attend the Retreat in September and Ethics Day/Graduation on May 28, 2027.

    C.  CONSIDERATE BEHAVIOR

    During sessions, the use of cell phones and texting is not permitted.  We allow many breaks for participants to conduct workday business. To give full attention to important speakers, we request that you refrain from disrupting the class in any manner and schedule meetings on alternative days.

  • III.  TUITION

    Tuition for each participant accepted into LEADERSHIP SIMI VALLEY is $1,295 when paid in full by August 21, 2026, or $1,395 through the Leadership Simi Valley Monthly Payment Plan.

    To reserve your Leadership Simi Valley spot, the application is due by August 7, 2026 with a $350.00 deposit due by August 21, 2026.

    To participate in the payment plan, an application is due by August 7, 2026 with a $350.00 deposit due on August 21, 2026. There will be six additional payments of $150 and one additional payment of $145, made monthly on the 15th of each month, starting on October 15, 2026, and ending on April 15, 2027.  To participate in the payment plan, we require a credit card to be kept on file with the Chamber office for the duration of the program. Tuition can be paid by Zelle, check, credit card, or sponsored by your employer or organization, also through check or credit card. Checks should be made payable to the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, 40 W. Cochran Street #100, Simi Valley, CA 93065.
