Deposit and Payment
Upon registration, you may choose to pay your summer camp balance in full, or to pay a $100 deposit followed by equal monthly payments until the balance is paid in full. The deposit is not refundable or transferable at any time. If the balance is paid in full at registration, $100 of that will be considered the deposit, and is non-refundable.
Cancellation and Refund
Cancellation requests must be made by email to info@playoutfoundation.org.
If you choose to cancel a course for any reason other than medical:
- More than 30 days prior to the program start date, you are entitled to a full refund, minus the deposit
- 21-30 days prior to the program start date, you are entitled to a refund of 50% of program cost, minus the deposit
- 20 days and less prior to the program start date, no refunds will be given
If any duration of a program is canceled by Camp Roots:
- If we find it necessary to cancel due to inclement weather, unsafe conditions, or circumstances out of our control, we are unable to offer refunds
COVID-19 Policy
If we are unable to hold camp due to COVID-19 we will refund all of the tuition paid and 75% of the deposit.
Medical Reason for Cancellation
We understand that medical issues may arise unexpectedly and at any time. Please email us as soon as possible to inform us of your need to cancel, and submit a written excuse from your child's physician. We will make our best effort to transfer your camper into another comparable program within the same year. If we are unable to transfer your camper, tuition will be fully refundable, minus the deposit.
We are unable to offer make-up days.
Expectations and Dismissal
Camp Roots is committed to maintaining a safe environment that allows children the freedom to play, learn, explore, and create. If we believe a child is unable to adhere to our rules and safety guidelines, they will be denied admission. If a child exhibits behavior that is unsafe or interferes with the rights of others, they will be dismissed from the program. Camp Roots reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse an application or dismiss a child from the program. No refund will be given if a child is dismissed from the program under these circumstances.
