About our Theater Camp:
OPS ED, an outreach program of Off Pitt Street Theater Company, is offering three, camp Sessions this summer. Each session consists of three, themed weeks of dramatic fun for young and aspiring actors, writers, directors, & designers. During camp, students will be introduced important theater fundamentals, such as terminology, technique, and character development exercises. Emphasis will be placed on cultivating creativity and confidence in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. On the last day of each camp week, students will perform their completed, original projects.
Parents & Guardians are welcome to attend on Friday of each week at 11:00am.
Each camper will receive a digital copy of their project.
About our Camp Instructor:
OPS Guild Member, Sherry Dilling is this year’s OPS ED Summer Theater Camp Instructor.
Ms. Dilling holds a degree in Communication and Theatre Arts from Juniata College. She has been involved in productions with Things Unseen Theatre, Gettysburg Community Theatre, and Loose Cannon Theatre Company. Recently, she has performed with Off Pitt Street Theatre in “The Princess Bride” as well as several Atomic Radio productions. This summer, Ms. Dilling is part of the cast in the P&J Productions premier of “John Lennon, 1980,” at the Mishler Theatre in Altoona.
Camp Weeks & Camp Sessions Explained:
Camp Weeks are Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm.
Camp Sessions consist of three, consecutive camp weeks.
Mix & Match are individual weeks & weeks chosen from multiple sessions.
Cost of Attendance:
$300.00 per three week Session or
$150.00 per week for “Mix and Match.”
Sibling Discount:
$150.00 per three week Session or
$75.00 per “Mix and Match” week.
*Siblings do not have to be enrolled in the same camp weeks to receive a discount*

Scholarships available:
Eligibility:
Any student who receives SNAP or School Lunch benefits is eligible to apply for a scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded as they are available. Application does not guarantee a scholarship. We will continue to find funding opportunities for camps.
Registration:
Theater Camp is for children ages 8 to 14.
Reading fluency (age appropriate) is required.
Session III:
Week 7: August 2nd-6th “Sci-Fi & Fantasy”
Week 8: August 9th-13th “Comedy”
Week 9: August 16th-20th “Lights, Camera, TikTok!”
**Family members are encouraged to attend at 11:00am
on Friday of each week.**
**Students must be signed in and signed out by a parent, guardian, or designee.**
