Thank you for choosing AniMeals, please take your time to fully read and sign the following Adoption Contract.

The above named person or persons, hereinafter referred to as Adopter(s), agree to adopt and adhere to the following Animal Adoption Contract.

Adopter(s) agree to not declaw any cat adopted from AniMeals..

Adopter(s), if renters, have the knowledge and consent of the landlord to have a pet.

Adopter(s) agree to provide a permanent, loving home for this animal.

Adopter(s) agree to accept full responsibility for the emotional, behavioral, physical, and financial needs of this animal for its entire lifetime. If an illness occurs, adopter will seek veterinary advice and services. Adopter can afford to do so.

Adopter(s) agree to provide adequate food, water, shelter, fencing, training, love, and attention to this animal.

Adopter(s) agree that if they cannot keep this cat for any reason, and their contingency plan falls through, they will return the animal to AniMeals.

Adopter(s) agree that the animal will never be sold, given away, abused, used for medical experimentation, or relinquished to an animal shelter or facility.

Adopter(s) agree to obey all animal laws and to provide all necessary vaccinations and preventative medications recommended by their veterinarian.

Adopter(s) agree animal adoption is a permanent placement.

Adopter(s) agree that there is no refund of the adoption donation.

Adopter(s) understand that by voluntarily signing this agreement, Adopter(s) enter into a legally binding Animal Adoption Contract with AniMeals, and a breach of any term(s) of this Contract is actionable by AniMeals. Adopter(s) also understand that failure to abide by the terms of this Contract, or willingly and knowingly giving false information is a material breach of this Contract. In the event there is a breach of any part of this this Contract, Adopter(s) agree to pay $500.00 in liquidated damages. This liquidated damage is agreed to for the purpose of establishing value of the adopted animal. Additionally, in order to facilitate the collection of damages for breach of contract, Adopter(s) waive any challenge to venue and agree that the appropriate venue for this matter is the State of Montana, County of Missoula.

Adopter(s) understands that no one can predict how an animal will react in a new situation. Therefore, Adopter(s) will exercise prudence and caution in introducing this animal into the new situation until the animal has become fully adjusted to its new environment and Adopter(s) have had an opportunity to become familiar with this animal’s unique personality. Adopter(s) assume full responsibility for the conduct of this animal, and AniMeals makes no guarantees in regards to the health or temperament of the animal.

Adopter(s) will not allow for the animal to be used for rituals, racing, fighting, medical, or experimentation purposes. It will be nothing other than a house pet, companion, and family member.

Adopter(s) understand that while ownership and responsibility for this animal belongs solely to the Adopter(s), if you can no longer keep the animal, for any reason whatsoever, or provide it with reasonable care, including food, shelter, or veterinary care, Adopter(s) will contact AniMeals and allow them the opportunity to find another home for the animal. Outside of the approved contingency plan, the adopted animal shall not be sold, adopted, or given away to anyone else, nor shall there be any transfer of ownership to any business or organizations without express permission from AniMeals. In this event, Adopter(s) will allow AniMeals a reasonable time to arrange for a suitable home for the animal. Adopter(s) will inform AniMeals if the animal has any behavioral or medical conditions, which makes finding another home unadvisable. If Adopter(s) must return the animal to AniMeals, Adopter(s) are responsible for return transportation.

Adopter(s) understand and allow AniMeals to contact them for later verification of the animal’s welfare. Adopter(s) will cooperate by providing requested information as related to the adopted animal as requested by AniMeals; this includes possible visits to the location of the animal and contact with the veterinarian caring for the animal. Adopter(s) will inform AniMeals of address changes and phone numbers during the life of the animal, to allow AniMeals to maintain contact with Adopter(s). If the animal becomes lost, Adopter(s) will notify AniMeals immediately.

Adopter(s) understand that in the event they do not follow the terms of this AniMeals Adoption Contract, or Adopter(s) neglect or abuse the animal, AniMeals maintains the right to re-take possession of the animal. The Adopter(s) also agree to pay AniMeals any and all expenses, inclusive of court costs and reasonable attorney's fee, in enforcing the provisions of this contract.

The Adopter(s) of the animal identified above in this AniMeals Animal Adoption Contract understand, agree, and heretofore promise to forever release, indemnify, and hold harmless AniMeals, or any of its agents or representatives from any and all claims, damages, costs, expenses, and causes of action arising out of any injuries or damages caused by the adoption of this animal. Adopters also understand that AniMeals will not be responsible for any medical care or costs required for the adopted animal from this day forth. In addition, Adopter(s) agree that AniMeals, its agents or representatives, cannot be held responsible for the behavior, health or disposition of this animal. AniMeals makes neither warranties nor guarantees as to the physical, medical or behavioral condition of this animal, its background or its suitability or compatibility. Adopter(s) releases AniMeals and all its agents or representatives from any and all responsibility with regard to this adoption, which Adopter(s) undertake voluntarily and with full knowledge of the above release and its implications.
