PHOTOS AND VIDEO
Photos and video are an important part of the work we do in our school, as they allow us to create and share rich documentation within classroom communities and among teachers for purposes of training and development. By enrolling your child in the SJCC Early Childhood School, you grant SJCC permission to take and use these photos/videos for these purposes.
SJCC uses photos and video of children in various marketing and media/social media campaigns to promote ECS and/or SJCC. We will never publish your child’s name or other identifying information without checking with you first. Please indicate below your agreement to release photos/videos of your child to SJCC to use for promotional purposes.
CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATIONFamilies will be notified within three weeks of registration to confirm acceptance and enrollment or wait list. At this time, the last month’s non-refundable tuition payment will be processed. For new children, the non-refundable application fee will be processed then as well.
WAIT LISTNew families that desire to be placed on a wait list must complete a wait list form. If a space becomes available, the family will be notified by phone and/or email and given five business days to respond and register for the program before the space is offered to the next person on the wait list. If a family chooses to decline a space in the program, that family will be moved to the bottom of the wait list.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCEIf you are interested in applying for financial assistance for your child, please make note of the following information: financial assistance is available on a limited basis. Applications for scholarships can be made to Account Services Manager Beth Rosen at BethR@sjcc.org or 206-388-1995. Families applying for a fee adjustment need to pay the non-refundable application fee at the time of application. All information is kept confidential. Applicants must provide their 2017 tax return and any other requested documents, so a fair and equitable decision can be made. All paperwork needs to be submitted by May 1, 2018, in order to be considered. Please note documentation is required for consideration for an adjustment. Applicants will be notified, in writing, of scholarships. Notification in writing will be your confirmation of your approval for financial assistance. Payment arrangements must be made at that time. Financial assistance is not automatically renewed. Families need to apply each program year. If a family’s financial situation changes, a new application needs to be completed.
HOLIDAYS/BREAKS/CLOSURESCreative Beginnings observe closures in accordance with the ECS school calendar. They include, but are not limited to, Jewish holidays, national holidays, school breaks, professional development, and other school closures. Monthly fees are NOT reduced or pro-rated due to scheduled closures or emergency closures. Tuition is calculated per an average month. In addition, there is NO reduction of fees for vacation and no make-up days for illness.
HEALTH STANDARDSIn order for children to participate, they must meet all health standards according to the State of Washington.
DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD MUST BE ON FILEA debit or credit card on file is required for all families. Even if you choose to pay your yearly tuition in full or monthly, the card on file may be used for miscellaneous fees (as described in the remaining items on this page). Declined debit/credit card/electronic fund transfer payments will be assessed a $25 fee.
WITHDRAWAL/REFUNDThirty (30) days written notification is required to withdraw. Once the 2018-19 school year begins, BOTH the last month’s deposit and the current month payment are non-refundable under all circumstances. The one-month tuition deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, even if you withdraw before the start of the 2018-19 school year.
