RULES
- 90% payback for winners. 10% to charity of class choice.
- 1 lb penalty per fish for dead fish
- Largemouth Bass ONLY- fish caught in the slot (14-17 inches) must be released
- Persons under the age of 18 must have the signature of a parent/guardian on
the entry form AND must have a boater’s license
- All contestants are required and expected to follow a high standard of sportsmanship during the tournament and weighing. Complaints of discourteous conduct will be handled as an infraction of the rules.
- PFD must be worn and fastened while the combustion engine is in gear
- Boats must have a kill switch that is attached to the driver while the engine is
in gear
- Boats must have an operating live well with an aerator system. Teams must cull
on the 6th fish
- Any protest must be received by the Tournament Director within 10 minutes
of the closing of the scales. Tournament Director may act on any issue without
protest- all decisions will be final
- All state, federal, and lake regulations must be obeyed
- Running lights must be used at launch until sunrise
- Partners must be declared before tournament, on entry form
- No cast before 6:30am
- Anglers are responsible for providing their own bag for weighing fish
- No alcohol
- 5 fish limit; ALL fish must be released
- Artificial lures only. Only one rod and reel per angler in the water at a time. No rods should exceed 8ft 6 in. No trolling with the combustion engine
- Late registration (after launch) is acceptable; 1 lb penalty will be added at weigh-in
- No fishing within 25 yards of another tournament boat that is previously anchored with the troll motor down
- By signing below, each Team Member does freely and voluntarily execute this wavier and in consideration of being provided the opportunity to attend and compete in the Riverdale Class of 2025 Fishing Tournament each team member does hereby acknowledge and agrees as follows:
I. This event is for Grand Bayou Reservoir in Louisiana. All local, state, and federal laws apply to body of water specified. This includes length restrictions, slot limits, boat registrations, etc. This event is for public waters only. Private waters or restricted waters are not allowed. If contestants do not attend the weigh in, they must call the Tournament Director to verify they are safely off the water.
II. I have read and understand the rules if the Tournament and agree to follow the rules and the decisions of the Tournament Director.
III. I am fully aware that competitive fishing is dangerous and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards to my property and myself by participating in the tournament, which include, but are not limited to, drowning, collisions in the water, and injuries, including without limitation permanent paralysis, other serious injury, and death. I knowingly, voluntarily, and freely assume full responsibility for all risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, whether identified or not identified, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned or used by me, or to others or their property, as a result of participating in the tournament, whether caused by the negligence of Riverdale Academy Class of 2025, the tournament, Tournament Director, or any other person or entity, or otherwise.
IV. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, knowingly release, waive, and discharge Riverdale Academy Class of 2025, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, managers, employees, agents, representatives, contractors and insurers, the Tournament Director, the other contestants, the spectators, the guests, or anyone else associated with the Riverdale Class of 2020 Fishing Tournament (the “Releasees”) from any and all claims whatsoever, known and unknown, arising out of or to arise out of the Tournament, to the fullest extent permitted by law. I further release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all claims arising out of the negligence, fault, or other conduct of Releasees.
V. I grant Riverdale Academy Class of 2025 Fishing Tournament, its subsidiaries and affiliates, the non-exclusive and unrestricted right to use my name, photographs, images, and likenesses for participation in the Tournament, for purposes of advertising, trade or publicity, in any manner, medium, or forum anywhere in perpetuity, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
IN SIGNING THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY, I acknowledge and represent that I HAVE READ the foregoing, fully understand its terms, and THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANSTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTAIRLY WITHOUT INDUCEMENT.
