All of us in one way or another are victims of incessant thinking and unconscious doing. From the moment we wake up, and sometimes even as we sleep, our minds are figuring, fretting, judging, criticizing, blaming, worrying, planning, regretting, creating make-believe conversations, re-experiencing hurts from the past, or re-living our good moments in a kind of nostalgic haze.
Our busy minds block us from the joy of being, and from our ability to be freely and authentically self-expressed. Our experience is filtered by our running internal commentary, and we miss opportunities this way, and creative insight, and “flow.” We miss the gifts of the moment, and the blessings of our lives.
I met a vibrant, loving, middle-aged woman last week for coffee, and she was excited to talk to a women’s group that I lead about the life and culture of the Pueblo People in New Mexico, her life’s work, and I found out yesterday that she died suddenly of uncertain causes- possibly a heart attack.
I have an email from her in my inbox awaiting a response.

The Workshop Format is an interactive zoom call. Once you register, you will be sent a link, and on the day of the workshop, by simply clicking on the link, you will enter the meeting space. We will all be able to see each other and talk to each other, and though I will lead the group, everyone’s contribution matters. Your being there matters- for you, and for all of us!!
