Will you need a liquor license? A liquor license is required for events open to the public when liquor is served. Member must go through office for ABC license. A liquor license is not required for "invitation only" events in private studios if entry is limited to invitees and invitations are checked at the door.

I agree to have a door monitor for every unlocked door for events held after McGuffey business hours. Door attendants and invitation checkers (for alcohol) must remain at each unlocked door for as long as the building is unlocked. $100 fine for unlocked doors left unattended.

Will there be live or broadcast music at your event? Music, sound, and noise must comply with Charlottesville City Noise Ordinance.

Will you be using McGuffey furniture and/or equipment? You may borrow McGuffey chairs, tables, easels, pedestals, or flats. Teachers using the classroom get first priority for classroom equipment. Gallery Committee gets first priority for pedestals and flats.

It is understood and agreed that if this application is approved, the undersigned and the above organization will be jointly and severally responsible for any and all damage to property and/or parties and will protect and indemnify McGuffey Art Center from all liability to any person on any account in connection with the above use of McGuffey Art Center. I have read and understand all rules and regulations.

Please select the discount appropriate to your type of event. Private events (family weddings, etc.) usually receive the smallest reduction, and events open to the public may receive a greater deduction.Fees may be waived for community events.
