Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Key to Lion's Heart Rescue! Submitting the online application below is the first step in our adoption process. A volunteer will be in touch within 48 hours of receiving your application with the next steps. Be sure to add @keytolionsheart.org to your email list of safe senders, or else our email may end up in your spam mailbox. Please note we cannot guarantee the dog you apply for will be available at the end of your approval process. We do not hold our dogs. Failure to provide or skip any of the required information below will result in deletion of your application until it can be fully completed.

What behaviors or life circumstances would cause you to return your adopted pet?
Many shelters and other recently rescued dogs can come down with kennel cough. Do you have a way to separate your new dog from your current dog(s)? Please describe how or answer N/A if not applicable and your dog is vaccinated with bordetella.
Obedience Training is a mandatory requirement within the first ONE month of adoption. Can you commit to enrolling and providing proof of enrollment in obedience classes back to the rescue completed by a certified/licensed trainer or facility within the first month of adoption?
