  • INVITATION (Veteran Riders Only) 49th Annual Colorado 500 Charity Invitational Ride with Grand Marshall Jeremy McGrath August 17-22, 2025

    The Colorado 500 is a renowned charity motorcycle ride that has significantly contributed to various causes since its inception in 1975. In 2024, the event raised a record $164,315, bringing the total donations to over $3 million. These funds have supported numerous initiatives, including trail preservation and community programs. Looking ahead, the Colorado 500 aims to raise $500,000 by the 50th Anniversary in 2026. To achieve this goal, participants are encouraged to consider making a minimum charity donation of $500, in addition to the event entry fee, which covers only the cost of the event. Donations can be made through the provided form, during the event, or at any time throughout the year. Supporters can also contribute by becoming event sponsors, providing T-shirt sponsorships, donating auction items, or offering merchandise or products from their companies. These contributions not only support the charity but also offer recognition for individuals, teams, or businesses involved. The upcoming 49th Annual Colorado 500 Charity Invitational Motorcycle Ride is scheduled for August 17-22, 2025, starting and ending in Snowmass, Colorado, with destinations including Ouray and Mount Crested Butte. Registration is currently open for veteran riders, with a deadline of June 15th. Given the event's popularity, early registration is recommended.   • • 5 Riding Days/6 Nights: August 17-22, 2025

    • Starts and Ends at the Viewline Resort in Snowmass, CO. Ride Day One Mt. Crested Butte, 2 Nights in Ouray, Ride Day Four Mt. Crested Butte and Ride Day Five returning for the final Awards Banquet night in Snowmass.

    • Registration Deadline: June 15th, 2025 (no changes or refunds after this date unless it's a medical emergency)

    • Sunday August 17th Tech Inspection & Registration: Fall Lane and Viewline Resort Conference Center

    • Veteran Entry Fees: $2,750.00 Dirt Bike / $2,300.00 Road or ADV Bike - p/p based on double occupancy (additional fee for a single room)

    • Rookie(s) request deadline May 1 (limit 2 p/p) - Rookie entry fee will be $3,250.

    • Saturday August 16th, 'Pre-Ride' Chili Hoedown fundraiser hosted by Team TX . Enjoy discounted lodging if you wish to extend your stay at the Viewline Resort, Snowmass. Arrive early, get acclimated, enjoy the comradery. Book your extra days below or contact us directly, additional days must be booked by CO500.

    • Locals not requiring lodging for opening and closing days may deduct $150. per night from entry fee. 

    • The ride is limited to 200 riders excluding support crew. Each participant, including non-riding guests, significant others, and drivers, must register separately and pay the entry fee, as each person occupies a rider's spot and contributes to the limited lodging availability. For those attending only the opening and closing days, additional lodging and food costs apply. 

    • Share our Media Kit, we need sponsors to help support event/medics/food functions!

    • Volunteers for opening and closing ceremonies needed. Please contact Janet for volunteer opportunities, join the team!

    • Please no small children or pets (unless service animal). Although we love them, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restrictions, limited availability, and liability. No exceptions.

    • No car camping or sleeping in coaches at any of our designated parking facilities.

  • Lodging:

    The ride starts and ends at the Viewline Resort Snowmass, entry fee covers 6-nights lodging Sunday through Friday based on double occupancy. Ride day one Grand Lodge Mt. Crested Butte. Ride day two & three split between 3-4 hotels in Ouray August 19-20 (2 nights), Day four Mt. Crested Butte, and the final Banquet night at Snowmass. You will receive room assignments with your registration packet. Please list your roommate request here, or if you require a single room check the box below: If you don't have a roommate request we will pair you up with one (a great way to make new friends!) We do our best to give you the roommate of your choice.
  • We encourage your Team to make a group donation presentation/announcement at the Awards Dinner Friday night, you may combine all charitable and sponsor amounts you make on this form combined with any other charitable donations you make during the event, including adding auction items purchased, for your Team's Donation Presentation. Have a team leader keep track, have fun with it, make some noise, and get Team Recognition!

  • GUEST/EXTRAS:

    If you have a guest or significant other planning to attend the full event whether riding on back or driving personal vehicle they are required to complete the registration form separately and pay full entry fee. Registration is required per person. If your guest is only staying for opening and closing nights complete questions below. Some volunteer opportunities are also available for those guests who are only attending 8/17 and/or 8/22. Contact Janet for volunteer opportunities.

  • CO State Law requires Spark Arresters properly installed and maintained and OHV stickers on all off-road motorcycles, please get your sticker or carry your proof of purchase in advance ($25.25) prior to the event, go on-line to order: http://parks.state.co.us. We will only have a limited supply for sale at registration. COHVCO Memberships ($25.00) are recommended for all participants, you can obtain or renew these Memberships during Registration. A spark arrester violation is $150.00 by State of CO. Colorado 500 is AMA Chartered & Sanctioned, and carries USFS & BLM permits which requires 5% of event gross profit to be collected which supports our trails. AMA Memberships are not required but we encourage you to keep your AMA Membership current, please call (800)AMA-JOIN to renew. The Colorado 500 supports organizations that help keep our trails open and we encourage you to support too! If we lose our trails or Funding it puts this great event at risk. We appreciate your support! 

     

  • The following required information will be on your Emergency Information Card you will receive at tech inspection. It must be carried by ALL Colorado 500 participants. If you happen to be involved in an accident and are unconcious, we need information for Law Enforcement and Medical Personnel.  All information will be held confidentially.

    WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

    (Read Carefully Before Signing) 

    IN CONSIDERATION of being allowed to participate in any way in the “Colorado 500 Motorcycle Event” I agree:                     

    1.   I hereby release, discharge, covenant not to sue, hold harmless, indemnify, and waive all rights against the persons described in paragraph 9 below from all claims for all loss, cost, damage, death or personal injury to me or my property, in any way resulting from the Colorado 500 Charity Motorcycle Event or any related activities or events (hereinafter referred to as the “EVENT”), from any cause  whatsoever, even if caused in whole or in part, by the negligence of any of the persons hereby being released or the negligence of any other person. 

    2.  I expressly acknowledge and agree that the released persons are hereby released of all such liability whether rising from their own negligence (whether active or passive), act or omission (past, present, or future and to whatever degree), or arising from any doctrine of strict liability, implied warranty or product liability.  This Release Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law and that if any portion is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full legal force and effect. 

    3.  I acknowledge and agree that there are no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or any other warranties, express, or implied, applicable to any motorcycle, chase or support vehicle, parts, equipment, accessories, instruments, components, or other products or goods used in any manner whatever in or related to the “EVENT” regardless of the source of such goods.  I hereby waive all remedies, warranties, guaranties or liabilities, express or implied, arising by law or otherwise, including all consequential damage, whether or not occasioned by the negligence of the supplier of such goods or any other person, on account of death or injury to person or property caused by or resulting from the manufacture, construction design, formula, development of standards, preparation, processing, assembly, inspection, testing, listing, certifying, warning, instructing, marketing, advertising, packaging or labeling of any such product or component of a product. 

    4.  I understand and agree that, although I have been supplied with certain information on the suggested route, the nature of the “EVENT” does not practically provide the opportunity to inspect the suggested route or the immediately adjacent areas which I may come in contact with during the “EVENT”, prior to the “EVENT”. 

    5. I understand and agree that, if at any time I feel anything to be unsafe, I will immediately take all necessary precautions to avoid the unsafe area(s) and will refuse to participate further in the “Event”. 

    6.  I understand and agree that:

    a)  Participation in the “EVENT” involves risks and dangers (as does any vehicular activity) of property damage and/or serious bodily injury, including temporary or permanent disability, illness, paralysis, and death (Risks). 

    b)  The social and economic losses and/or damages which could result from those Risks and damages could be severe. 

    c)  These RISKS and dangers may be caused by my own action (s), or inaction (s), the action (s) or inaction (of others, the rules of the “EVENT”, the condition and layout of the suggested route, or the negligence of the persons described in paragraph 9 below. 

    d) I understand the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, had been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. It is believed that an asymptomatic individual can be infected with and transmit COVID-19 without their knowledge. I have independently evaluated and reviewed the risks of being exposed to or infected with COVID-19 and have determined to participate in Colorado 500 programs, events, and/or activities with full knowledge and acceptance of the risk. Fully understanding these risks, I, for myself, my child(ren), my spouse, my legal representatives, heirs, and assigns, hereby agree to assume full responsibility and liability for the risk of bodily injury, illness, permanent disability, and/or death which may result from exposure to or infection with COVID-19 before, during, or after participating in a Colorado 500 program, event, or activity. We are not requiring masks at this time, but we reserve the right to change our mind depending on county mandates.  

    7.  I expressly acknowledge that the terrain covered during the “EVENT” ranges from easy to extremely difficult and that special riding and driving skills and physical endurance are necessary.  I expressly represent that I possess these necessary skills and physical endurance.  I consent to any and all medical aid and transportation in case of injury and will bear the cost of such aid and transportation.   

    8.  I recognize that this “EVENT” consists of six days, the first day being for registration motorcycle/rider preparation, the next five days consisting of both on and off-road riding. 

    9.  The persons released are the “EVENT” hosts, sponsors, officials, volunteers, medical personnel & support crew, advertisers, and each of them, their respective officers, directors, agents and employees. 

    10.  This Release agreement shall be valid and fully applicable against me, my personal representatives, administrators, guardians, conservators, heirs, next of kin, spouse, successors, and assigns. 

    11. I hereby grant permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration. I understand and agree that all photos become the property of the “EVENT”. 

    12.  I do hereby agree that this agreement shall extend to future claims about which I do not know; which, if known at the time of signing this agreement, would have or could have affected the decision to execute this agreement. 

    13.  I agree to indemnify the released persons for any loss, cost or damage they may suffer/incur resulting from my action or in action during the “EVENT”, and/or any loss, cost or damage they may suffer/incur in defending the validity and/or effect of this agreement.  I agree that in addition to any loss, cost or damage they may suffer/incur, I shall be responsible for all attorney fees and costs the released persons may incur in defending the validity of this release or in seeking to recover under this agreement. 

    14.  I acknowledge and agree that no oral representations, statements or inducements have been made to me by any of the parties listed in paragraph 9. 

    15.  This agreement shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of the State of Colorado.  

    16.  As a further inducement to the Released Persons, I expressly represent, under penalty of my fraudulent misrepresentation: 

    a)  I have been given the opportunity to read this entire Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement. 

    b)  I have read and fully understand this Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement. 

    c)  I fully intend for my signature to constitute a complete and unconditional release of all liability as set forth in this Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement. 

    d)  I freely and willingly consent to this Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement.
