Dachshunds are notorious for bad teeth. How will you provide dental care, such as cleanings, daily teeth care, chew toys?

Dachshunds are known for being stubborn and difficult to potty train, Do you have the time AND patience to work with your new puppy?

Dachshunds like to dig large holes. Will you mind if your dog digs holes in your garden or yard? If so, how do you plan to manage this?

Dachshunds love to bark! How will you manage this?

Will your puppy be and inside or outside dog?

Dachshunds have long backs which can lead to IVDD. IVDD is where these discs deteriorate (calcify/harden), wherein they become susceptible to bulging or bursting - especially with hard impacts (jumping off a couch, steps, rough play, etc.) Will you be able to provide ramps, stairs and/or emergency vet car if needed?
