General Information
Butterfield Urban Care Opportunity (BUCO) students now have the opportunity to apply for grant funds that will benefit a clinic where they volunteer. Butterfield Memorial Foundation (BMF) has small grants in the amount of $2,000 for Christian, charitable care clinics in central Oklahoma. Grant funds must be applied for by a registered BUCO student via an online grant application process. Applications may be submitted at any time between January 1 and December 1 of a calendar year.
Clinics that receive funding from a BUCO grant will still be eligible to apply for a standard BMF clinic grant.
Requirements
- Grant applications must come from a registered BUCO student that has recently volunteered in the clinic in which funds are being requested
- Each BUCO student can write a total of two (2) requests in a calendar year, but requests must be for two (2) different clinics
- Grant applications must be signed by the clinic medical director or executive director
- Only Christian, charitable care clinics in central Oklahoma with a 501(c)(3) designation are eligible for funding (see list below)
- A clinic can only receive a total of two (2) BUCO grants in a calendar year and requests must come at least three (3) months apart
- Requests must meet a medical need within the clinic and can include medications and equipment
- Grants cannot be given to individuals
- Requests for operation expenses will not be considered
